Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
We had to cancel our trip due to a medical emergency the night before boarding the cruise. We filed a claim under the Trip Interruption portion of our policy.
They explained what we needed to provide for our claim. once we got the required paperwork completed and submitted to Trawick International, they issued our refund within 30 days. We have no complaints as to what transpired.
Advice to anyone thinking about buying insurance from this company: RUN AWAY RUN AWAY. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. I have tried to work with them and they just ask for more and more. The latest: David insists I have to have proof that I cancelled a reservation which I explained I didn't cancel, couldn't, because the car rental agency does not do cancellations or refunds. So proof I didn't do something I didn't do. I would have given 0 stars if that were possible.
Return home was delayed due to delta canceling our flight so me & my wife had to stay in orlando an additional day so I filed a claim and sent all the info that was requested plus more and all the emails and screenshots of what delta airlines sent to me, the insurance company asked me(fyi this was all via email) to obtain from delta the reason the flight was canceled so i contacted delta and they had me complete some form that was for insurance claims which i completed and sent confirmation of completion to the insurance company via email but no response, insurance company emailed me asking again for the reason the flight was canceled and i replied im still waiting on delta to email me the response and no reply to my reply...so delta emails me the info and i foward it to the insurance company and after a few days they email me back and say my cased was closed because i didnt send the reason for flight canceled which i did send everything they asked for but good thing this wasnt a major claim or i would be beyond furious with this company and their lack of communication, yes i would've liked my extra day of hotel stay reimbursed but considering this company didnt wanna pay my miniscule amount back for my hotel stay i cannot see them paying anything for a noteworthy claim and i will never use this company again and I would advise anyone and everyone to find a different company for travel insurance. Fyi even delta gave a credit while this insurance company gave me jack sh**
Very poor service regarding refunding our money on a legitimate claim. We filed a claim because we had to cancel our trip since my wife, Joann tested positive for Covid a week before we were to leave. She was very sick and still has some lingering symptoms. Trawick has acknowledged receipt of our claim but said it would take 2 or 3 months, maybe longer to review our claim before a refund would be issued. Our claim is simple and straightforward with a letter of documentation from our physician. We are not happy with the delay in refunding our money! Seems to be a case of the company drawing interest on our money while dragging its feet to pay this legitimate claim.
Trawick paid my claim for an excursion we had to cancel past the refund deadline when we got food poisoning while on vacation abroad. Would definitely purchase it again!
I’m still providing 5 stars because i’ve been happy overall with the insurance, but I guess I’m not sure why I am required to file claim with my regular health insurance when my policy is “primary” coverage for medical. I have tried to address this with the claims department but they still insist I must file a claim through my regular health insurance and so I did and now I have to wait that much longer for them to review the claim. Again I am so confused as to why I would pay more for a policy that is supposed to be “primary” medical when I could pay less for a policy that has secondary medical.
Also when I was in the hospital in St. Thomas they wouldn’t accept travel insurance so for that I did have to provide my regular health insurance and they are billing my health insurance directly, but for my charges that took place on the cruise ship I had to pay up front upon disembarkation. When I went to submit the claim to my travel insurance company they said I have to first submit to my regular insurance. Again I paid more for a policy to provide primary medical coverage and the way my claim is being handled it’s just as if I have secondary coverage.
I would appreciate if someone from Squaremouth would follow up with me.
Thanks
We submitted all required documentation well over a month ago, and have heard NOTHING from Trawick.Poor communication on your end.
My trip was interrupted and so I tried to log in to create an account so I could submit a claim but the system didn’t work and I still don’t have an account I can log into even though I filed a claim.
It is very difficult to get in touch with them. They only do the form online. You give them what they want and some how they need something else. When I explained that they had it all and resent it, I received another email asking the exact same question.

It was difficult at the being to do it all online. I had a problem saving my input. Once all of the material was finally completed and sent in, the time getting your payment was fairly quick.
I had to cancel our trip due to my grandmother's unexpected passing. I am still in process of receiving the money back.
