Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
When I called Tarwick to explain the situation, that my daughter and her entire family contracted Covid and were unable to travel they were not helpful at all. They told me we needed to have had a doctors visit to verify. However, if you have Covid the doctors specifically tell you to stay at home! We had verified PCR tests and luckily my daughter and son-in-law had talked to a doctor. But with Covid, a verified PCR test should be sufficient to prove you should not be traveling. The person at Tarwick never explained that to file a claim it would be through Nationwide. I first sent all the information to Tarwick, then two days later called to make sure they had the information and was told then it had to be filed with Nationwide. So I had to resend all the information to Nationwide and have not heard back about the status.
We are still waiting for Trawick to respond to our claim that they had us do on line
We were caught in the Southwest cancelling issue on the way to a cruise. Called the line for help with options. Was no help at all. Could not tell us our options, could not tell us what would be covered, told is to try a book a flight to meet the cruise at the next port. As the tickets to meet in the next port cost more than the entire cruise, I asked if they would be covered. She said “maybe”. Not helpful. Still waiting to see if our claim is approved.
I have been ghosted by this insurance company. I filed a claim back in early October and received two requests for receipts , which I have provided and I haven't heard back from them. I am very disappointed in their service. I filed immediately upon return, provided all receipts and yet to hear back from them. I just get notices that they are too busy.
Purchasing the insurance was great. The person we spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful. She answered all of our questions and if she did not know something, she researched it for us.
When we had problems with our flight, I immediately contacted the company. That agent was not helpful. To be fair, she said it was December 23rd and they were running on a shortened staff. However, I was displeased because I needed information on what was covered and who I got letters from etc.... This lack of information could have costed us reimbursement. She said she would have a supervisor call me back within an hour. Nobody EVER called me back.
We filed a claim on January 27th and sent everything in. I was told we will hear back by January 27th.

I received an email saying they received my claim, however I was never contacted by anyone. I never received a further email. And when logging in to check status at cbpconnect.com it is as if there were never any claims submitted. I am not at all pleased with any communication that I have had with them when our trip was interrupted and they offered the wrong advice on what to do concerning issues we had with our trip

So far I’ve had a poor experience submitting the claim. The website submission process wouldn’t work so I had to email the claim. I’ve had no response except a form email.
Customer service person was great when we changed our trip a month before departure and got a refund and a modified policy for new trip.
