*The overall customer rating is the average of all reviews for the provider since they joined the marketplace.
Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I find your claims department to be not as responsive as I expected. I had to cancel my trip due to my husbands illness, which is a covered reason, and supplied all the required documentation. Claim # 120597 I would think that their needing two months to review is overly excessive.
When I rebook this trip, I will ensure that the insurance company doesn’t use Trawick to process claims

The Squaremoth Zero Complaints Team was terrific, Trawick was not
Claim processing takes entirely too long! My claim was submitted and accepted electronically on June 28, 2022, and after calling customer service, was advised that it would take 60 business days to even get to my claim.
I submitted a claim for multiple thousands on July 29th, 2022 while I was abroad. I have heard not one thing back from the claims department. Unbeknownst to me at time of purchase, Trawick International actually outsources their claims to a completely different company. The submission process was clunky and you cannot view or edit your claim in the portal until it is reviewed. Meaning, I could not even add additional expenses easily as the trip got further delayed. Rather, I had to email them every time something happened. I never got a reply. I still have had not one single reply from the claims department nearly 2 weeks later. With thousands sitting on my credit card and currently having covid-19, I have been extremely sick, stressed and worried and feel like it was a total loss to purchase this insurance. I am saddened that Squaremouth did not vet this company better given that they have a 1 star rating with the Better Business Bureau and if you go to their Google reviews there are HUNDREDS of reviews of people who have not even had their claim reviewed months later.
I filled out a claim and have heard back.
I booked an international trip, The day before my flight, we had a snow storm, and I had 4 flights canceled, one it was moved 200 miles away from the original city, and that flight was also canceled. I had to drive back 200 miles, then drive back another 200 miles on the next day to a flight delay. Noticed that I bought a flight close to my home, and I had to drive an extra 200 miles because they would no longer have flights leaving from my area ( where I originally bought my tickets). It took two days of delay. I had another travel interruption, having to cancel my stay because of a two-day interruption. I had that all documented, and not much of that was covered. Very hard to file, nobody helps. It took 6 months to receive their final payment. ( Now I will have to appeal, and wait another 60-90 days. So, a lot of work, and waste of time. I paid one of the most expensive plan too. So. I will not use trawick again. I think those travel cancelations were enough to cover. My experience is not good with them at all.
The Trawick website does not make it easy to file a claim and it is also difficult getting in touch with someone on the phone. The website does NOT allow you to see if the claim is in process and I was unable to add additional information to my claim. I also did not hear back that a claim was even entered after completing the on line process.
We are in the claim process now. It seems like it is taking forever. Apparently there are higher than expected claims being filed causing delays. My ratings would be more accurate if our claim was resolved.
Airline lost my luggage between dfw-doh-ceb, arrive ceb on july 20 whr airline rep informed me its on the way to ceb. File a claim for delayed luggage and havent heard. Now i am back home and still did not get my luggage.

I was able to call and speak with someone about having to cancel the trip due to contracting COVID the day of departure. I provided all the requested documentation and submitted the claim the same day. I hope that Trawick processes the claim quickly as it is very straightforward.
There is no clarity on process for filing a claim for delayed baggage or lost baggage. Aer Lingus Airline has refused all communication with me (and many others) since my bag was lost. Aer Lingus web site clearly states that if I had private insurance I should file my claim(s) with them (you) however your customer service stated that you are secondary insurance and Aer Lingus must act first on each claim (delayed and missing baggage). This contradiction is frustrating and compounded by Aer Lingus' total lack of communication. Square Mouth should take control and work with Aer Lingus to provide me with a reasonable solution. The burden should not be on me, the customer to both the airline and the insurance companies. A very bad and stressful situation during my trip has only been exacerbated by the roadblocks I now face since returning home. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it very much.
