Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I obtained the claim form easily. However I received an email that it could take awhile to process due to volume of claims.
Trawick Int'l has sent me a statement that it may take up to 60 days to process my claim. It seems to me this is far too long to process a very simple straight forward claim with all the requested documents submitted as requested.
We had to cancel our trip due to a terminal illness in our family. We submitted a claim nearly a month ago and haven't gotten a resolution. Our claim is quite straightforward and falls clearly within the limits of the policy, which allows for trip cancellation if there is serious illness of a non-traveling family member (in this case my mom, who learned several weeks before our trip that she only had about a month left to live -- she died during the time period that we would have been out of the country had we not cancelled the trip). So we're not thrilled with how long it takes to review claims, especially given that we're dealing with a lot in the aftermath of my mom's death and that the insurance payout will help us to pay off some credit card charges made for the trip that we didn't go on.
Your company makes it quite difficult to file a claim, or talk with a human who know any information regarding much of anything, my flight got cancelled for two days and the insurance I purchased was not helpful when I needed it.
Trawick claims to be experiencing so many claims that there are delays in processing them. They haven’t said how long the delay might be, they haven’t confirmed that my claim requires no additional documents or support. Who knows how long it will take? Extremely unsatisfactory
Waiting to hear about my claim as I had to revise my itinerary. Was told the process will be slow and no feedback about whether my claim will be honored.
The claim has been submitted for nearly 2 months and I still have not heard anything except they are behind in processing. Very disappointed with the service since submitting claim
We had to cancell our planned trip to France becaise of a sudden detoriation of my wife's health.
I filed all the necessary paperwork but was informed that it could take up to 90 days to resolve the issue.
In my opinion this is far too long and when I travel again in the future I might reconsider another insurance company

I am mad as **** that the insurance company has decided to stop the claim process.
I have provided all the proof necessary to support our claim, including several Physician Statements that prove that the trip cancellation was fully justified. It is a shame that Squarmouth allows this company to be be part of the recommended travel insurance companies
Every time the insurance company wanted the same proof again.
During the last 15 years we have travelled a lot and always bought travel insurance from one of your recommended agencies and never had a problem untill this year
I filed and sent a complaint dated June 27, 2022. I got Covid during my trip to Alaska, fortunately my symptoms were minor. However, I had to stay on quarantine for 8 days in Vancouver, BC Canada, (from June 6 thru June 13th), so I contacted your Customer Service Department, and they instructed me on how to find, fill and send a form for a claim. A few days later I experienced a urinary infection, so I called ´On Call´ to ask for a doctor prescription, or maybe a conference call with a doctor. They did respond some days later, that no doctor was available in Canada to assist me. After the quarantine, I was able to travel to USA, and contacted the Company again on June 15 by phone to ask for a consultation with a doctor in the Lafayette, LA area. I received a very bad treatment, no solution, I felt insulted and aggravated by the operator who took my call, besides of putting up with my illness until I got back home.
I have submitted my claim and expenditure receipts and I am waiting for a reply and a claim number. I will be submitting additional receipts as soon as I receive my American Express card statement.
I well like to get money back
