Trawick offers six comprehensive travel insurance policies through Squaremouth, each designed to provide different levels of coverage to suit various travel needs. Their most popular plan, Safe Travels Protect, delivers affordable protection for both trip cancellations and medical emergencies, making it an ideal choice for travelers on domestic and international trips alike.

Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
No info has been sent or any contact since the initial claim was made.
Trip was canceled due to death in family.
The process took longer than 30 business days. I understand things are backed up due to the pandemic. However, they could at least give updates as the process took place. I had to make multiple calls and wait on the line.
I have no comment to make at this time.
Filed claim in early August after wife's diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer. Received email from Nationwide Travel, which handles Trawick's claims, on Aug. 16, saying they would act within 15 business days. A month later, no response to our obviously valid claim that we were unable to take the covered trip.
The purchase experience was good. Claim experience : Very poor.
Everyone would prefer not to file a claim. However, in spite of being fully vaccinated and masking up, I ended up with a breakthrough Covid infection and we had to cancel our trip to Chicago and make a claim for the airfare (all else cancelled without penalty).
Filing the claim was not too difficult. The person I spoke to emailed a list of all documents required which stated to allow 2 weeks for review and that the claim and documents could be filed as a reply to the email. All done on July 28 2021
I figured I'd give them a month. September 9 (more than a month later) and no response. On calling and being put on hold for a while, I was told that there was a backlog and they were now "looking at claims filed towards the end of July". That could be any time after the 15th of July. The person could not tell me how much longer it would be. And this is only for the initial review. If they require additional documents that will naturally delay it further without being told whether you are at the bottom of the pile again.
The other concern is that we bought the insurance on the SquareMouth site, the travel insuring company was Trawick, the insurance underwriter was Nationwide and there's a fourth company handling the claim : CBP.
The reason I went through Squaremouth was because the insuring company offered cancellations if you contract Covid even though it is a known event. Have to rethink whether I want to go through Squaremouth again or just directly with Nationwide or go back to Insuremytrip.
Avoid!
I filed a claim on the website. It says it can take 15 just for the claim to appear online. I have tried 3 days now to reach their claims number, waiting for an hour+ each time and never reaching anybody. I guess that's one way to make sure you never have to pay a claim!
I will never, ever use Trawick again. What a disgrace.
If I could give 0 stars, that’s what this company deserves. I submitted a claim back in August, and still haven’t heard anything back from this request.
During my trip, I needed to contact Trawick. I did not know what number to call nor whom to contact since the policy was through Trawick but handled by CBP. I have no idea how SquareMouth interacts with Trawick and CBP. The travel insurance has too many companies involved thus making claims difficult.
The process took too long to rectify.
