Still waiting to hear back from them. I had to cancel my trip. I sent and email 2 weeks prior to the date I was supposed to leave. Called and sent another email again a few days prior to the date I was supposed to leave. I have not received a reply/response.
My husband needed some minor medical attention and x-rays while on our cruise. It took patience to compile all the necessary paperwork, but our claim was accepted without delays. The check covering our expenses arrived within 2 weeks!
I submitted claim directly. Have only received automated emails and no direct response. Did receive automated email that they received my claim and will respond within 15 days. Obviously this will determine how I rate the experience.

My experience has been a complete nightmare. Our trip was cancelled by Holland America through our travel Agent due to the COVID. Therefore I have attempted several times, spent literally hours with emails and phone calls just to ultimately be told that my chances of a refund were nil. I was passed from one department to another each time saying that that person could not help me. I spent months trying to get our refund from Squaremouth.
Not only would I never use this company again but I will steer all of my traveling friends away.
It was disappointing enough to not be able to take our trip, but also that I had to go through so much just to hung up to dry.
Filled out paperwork for luggage delay of 4 days and receipts of necessary items. no response yet from company.

I filed a claim with Trawick more than a week ago. Due to my wife taking a fall and breaking bones in both wrists shortly before our scheduled departure, we were unable to take the trip but were still liable for the VRBO cost of the residence we rented. We have yet to hear from anyone regarding our claim, which included extensive medical and other documentation, as requested. Not very impressive customer service.
