    We are totally unsatisfied with the way our claim was handled. It took 2 and 1/2 MONTHS to finally get paid from the insurance. I spoke to at least 4 people over the course of several months and was unable to receive our refund, even though we sent in everything that was requested. I spoke to Trawick, to Nationwide to Co-ordinated Benefits before FINALLY reaching a woman (Gigi) who could help us. She was finally able to talk to American Airlines with our permission to receive a refund. We paid our insurance promptly and are unbelievably sad that it took so long to receive a claim of $1361.
    We were unable to travel because of my medical problem as documented by my doctor. I think you should instruct the people at Trawick to be more professional and have more kindness in treating people who need to file a claim. After all, why do we purchase insurance in the first place?
    We travel often and we will NEVER use your insurance again! You were recommended highly to us, and we expected better service considering we had to cancel because of illness.
    We truly hope this message reaches the proper channels so they can try and teach their personnel how to better interact with clients. I will NEVER recommend your company to any of our friends who travel. This was definitely the worst insurance company that we have ever used and we hope that you will make a better effort in the future to help people who have to cancel through no fault of their own.

    Trawick International policy: Safe Travels 3 In 1

    We canceled our trip and filed a claim with medical letters of support to defend the need to cancel. Alas, we didn't read all the fine print. My husband is a 100% disabled Viet Nam veteran having served in Danang from March 1968 - April 1969. He thought he was ready after 50 years to return and get rid of his "demons." He came home with PTSD--nightmares, anxiety/panic attacks, and fears of public situations. He thought he'd allayed many of the fears and was ready to return. The closer the time came to the sailing, the more he increased with nightmares and panic attacks. His primary care physician in the civilian sector and his PTSD doctor in the VA system both supplied letters saying he needed to cancel plans to return to Viet Nam.

    We canceled the cruise which went well as Celebrity returned our $900 deposit. We were able to cancel all the excursions I'd booked and received refunds. Our travel to Hong Kong on American Airlines couldn't be refunded; however, they did send us vouchers for flights we can take in the next year. Whether or not we use them is still in question, but at least they offered something. The flight home on Singapore Air was not refunded at all, so we lost $1382.47. Our US flights on Southwest Airlines to and from California from Texas were easily cancellable. Our hotel stay upon our return in San Francisco was also cancellable. So, we are out the cost of the travel policy $262.20 and the Singapore Airline tickets $1382.47. I don't think we'll be purchasing travel insurance again.

    Trawick International policy: Safe Travels Single Trip

    I was looking for Insurance that would cover "intinerary port" change when on the Cruise... I thought they explained, it would be covered under the "Trip Interruption" and only because I was confident this would be covered... The Cruise changed 2 port intinerary days, after taking a lot of research and TIME and planning of what to do in those designated Islands, the Ship because of weather, redirected us to other 2 different ports. I now did not know what to do and we actually did nothing but get off the Ship and just randomly aimlessly walked around... When trying to put in a claim, your response was the policy did not cover for this and when I read it, I also understood it would have to be probably a 48 hour delay and expenses like tours occuring to then at least cover that... So this did not apply to us... I am satisfied that your process that was QUICK, beginning with your phone rep was very efficient to directing me where to go and what to do and a quick turn around response but ended disappointed, that it did not cover "itinerary changes"...

    Ignored documentation that was completely provided as per check list. Asked for it again. Also, Deny claim as infection originated in mouth. Insurance company states “that’s a dental issue which asa rule we do not cover dental related issues.” Ridiculous! The claim was not for a dental treatment but to fight a severe infection. Also, response came after the originally defined max time frame for response from their side. I gave up to further communicate. Seems this policy was total scam . Never again. If you, Squaremouth, take your 100% customer satisfaction policy seriously you reimburse me as your policy satisfaction guarantee states.

    Trawick International policy: Safe Travels First Class

    The support people were absolutely awful. Half of my messages were ignored.

    They kept asking for more information.

    The airline was more accommodating than the insurance company.

    My Blue Cross paid virtually every medical cost. Trawick didn't care AT ALL. To this day they have never followed up.

    I asked for a seat upgrade so I could stretch my leg out. It took them to the day before my flight to say they would pay for an upgrade to a plus seat. By then (as they well knew) there were NO seat upgrades available. I would have had to spend days sitting in a hotel room waiting for a flight with availability. Which of course they would have paid NOTHING.

    Just to state again, to this day they have still not followed up.

    Hi Harold, I am sorry that you had to file a claim. Claims are processed 15 working days from the receipt date of the claim so you are still in that 15 day time frame.     Trawick International policy: Safe Travels USA Cost Saver

    I had to go to a clinic due to a health issue. I talked to the costumer services and they told me what to do. Everything turned out fine so far.
    I'll soon start a reimbursement procedure of my expenses while overseas.

    Trawick International policy: Safe Travels Single Trip

    The claim process and also the claim appeal process were both easy and simple. However, my claim, of only $153.42 was denied initially and on appeal. I feel the reason Trawick gave for denial was unjust. I purchased the insurance beginning September 3, the date of our international flight. At 11:20 PM on September 2 I received an email from British Air cancelling my flight and booking me on a flight a day later - September 4. I did not need to submit a claim for an airport hotel since we were staying with friends. My only claim was for the first night of our AirB&B in Paris since our trip was delayed one day. Trawick refused to pay the claim because the email I received delaying my flight was sent on September 2, less than an hour prior to the date in which the insurance was to begin. Not only does that seem like splitting hairs, but it ignores the fact that my trip was delayed one day so I lost one night of accommodation which was prepaid and non-refundable. I am filing a second appeal on this claim.

    Our claim was sent to Global Benefits Group and forwarded to the Claims Department for review on Monday, Oct 28 ,2019. We're waiting to find out if the claim will be honored or if additional information is required.
