  • WorldTrips policy: Atlas Journey Preferred

    We had to cancel our trip when my husband had an injury about a month before departure. Fortunately we were fully reimbursed by World Trips for our nonrefundable expenses. We filed the claim through the World Trips website and received the reimbursement about 3 weeks later. It was a straightforward process, no phone calls required, simply followed the instructions on the website. Will definitely use World Trips again.

    i am currently going through the claim process. Rather than filing a claim online, I'm sending them emails with attachments.

    WorldTrips policy: Atlas Journey Premier

    I had to cancel my trip due to my sister having back surgery. The claim was easy and quickly resolved. They paid me for the plane ticket even though I got an extension with the airline, because I don’t think I will be able to use the ticket before it expires due to vacation availability at work.

    Inscurance company is very slow to respond and needs a ridiculous amount of information to cover claims. That’s why I got the inscurance was to help with loss. So far has only been a headache and no compensation. What would I do if I didn’t actually have the money to cover my loss?

    The online form is not well designed. The process to upload multiple files supporting a claim is awkward at best.

    Under Baggage Delay, our policy states: “We will reimburse you up to the maximum benefit amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits for the covered expenses listed below if your baggage is delayed or misdirected by a common carrier for twelve (12) hours or more from your time of arrival at your trip destination (coverage is not applicable for your arrival at your scheduled return destination.)” Baggage Delay is for purchase of items while your luggage is delayed. Baggage Loss or Damaged Baggage is covered full trip.

    I Am confused by the payment amount. It was $40 short from the Claim.. Stated reason was that my claim was above the amount of insurance purchased. I don’t think so- i believe I purchased more than I needed to claim, but i have no récord of that! My récord is only receipt of payment, not of product purchased. This is a problem with the online purchase process..

    World trips customer service was awful and non existing. They had a multitude of documents sent to them and were more motivated to not pay out on my claim. World trips is a Monday-Friday type of a company very difficult to talk to a person. I will never get insurance thru world trips ever again they are awful! This review should be 0 stars!
