Initially ran into a problem with setting up a claim as I had incorrectly used the incorrect policy number. I contacted Atlas and they emailed me the paper version which I manually filled out and mailed. I appreciate that they emailed me confirmation that it had been received. Two weeks later I received a check in the mail with my refund.
Excellent outcome.
Spoke with agent who told me I had coverage for missed ports on a cruise. Then had a few emails and delays after submitting to get a final response that missed ports are not covered
We changed our dates slightly and went with a different provider. It was a bit of a challenge to get the policy changed, requiring quite a bit of documentation and e-mails. The initial call with customer service was fine but she had to refer us somewhere else. Being unsure if the change would be accomplished, I purchased an additional policy when I bought our plane tickets to be sure we had direct medical coverage. Luckily, we did not need to use any insurance on out trip, so I cannot comment on how claims are handled, which is, of course, the key to any insurance.
Linda- Thanks for your time and feedback. We apologize that the change process on your policy was clunky, and will use your experience as an opportunity for improvement. Safe travels.
I had a bit of an issue trying to get to the right department to adjust my policy. But once I did, the woman I spoke with was very helpful.
Hi Tara: thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review. Apologies for the upfront confusion, but we’re glad your experience was favorable. Look forward to seeing you traveling with us again in the future!
I just filed a claim yesterday; 1 piece of my luggage was delayed for 5 days so I had to purchase some clothes and shoes.

Covered expenses for which I submitted receipts, but I purchased some tennis shoes from a street vendor for cash that had no receipts.
I didn't get my full set of policy documents until I called WorldTrips. Wasn't a big deal, but could have become problematic if I didn't catch it in time for my trip.
Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback and we apologize for any inconvenience. Well take this as an opportunity for improvement. Safe travels!
The 24 hour assistance line was easy to access and I spoke with a very nice lady. I was transferred to claims when I had a question regarding refunds, this women was rude and very unhelpful with me. When my claim is filed I certainly hope that the claims department will be more transparent and helpful in trying to resolve this matter.
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback. We apologize for your negative experience with customer service, this is certainly not the experience we hope to deliver. We’ll be sure to review this situation and identify any opportunities for improvement. We hope you are feeling better and that you will be able to rebook your trip in the future. Thank you again and safe travels.
I think I filed a claim but it was confusing. When I called the customer service number the gentleman was nice but transferred my call. This person was for medical, and although very competent, wasn’t this person’s responsibility. I’m still not sure if a claim was initiated. Can someone email me at bswenty@yahoo.com
Thank you,
Brian Swenty
Thank for taking the time to share your feedback Brian, and we’re sorry for any confusion created. Our team will be reaching out to see how we can assist you with the next steps for your claim process. We will review this situation for any opportunities for improvement. Safe travels.
Quicker response times or more staff for claims handling
We filed a trip cancellation claim due to health reasons and it was paid in full without any issues about 6 weeks later. It was a large claim and so I was expecting all sorts of questions and arguments, so that was a great surprise that it went so smoothly. The only negative to the process was there was zero feedback from WorldTrips (or their 3rd party claims broker) about the status. Instead I called WorldTrips every couple of weeks, they answered the phone quickly and updated me on the status.
Thank you for your business and taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so sorry you had to cancel your trip, but we appreciate the feedback and opportunity to improve on our communication. Safe travels!
