AXA customers frequently mention the provider’s efficient customer service, especially when it comes to making pre-departure adjustments to a policy. However, some customers have voiced that the claims process takes too long and lacks transparency.
Upon return to USA, I submitted claims for medical, and trip delay. Will wait to see how long it takes for AXA to process claim.
The individuals on each team were easy to work with. Ideally all teams would have the same information (share my numerous emails and phone calls) with other teams so repetition wouldn't be necessary.
I was informed by your company to contact CBP Connect.Com to report a claim.
Goo
We haven’t heard anything back about our claim. We are waiting for any information. I’ve sent emails asking the status and none will return our emails. Could someone please contact us about it.
Terrible experience
Did contact your Zero complaint team
Very polite, responsive and professional
But they had no influence over AXA
Simple issue
Trip to Cuba, cancelled by travel company. AXA refused any claim saying it was not covered
Really?
Trip cancellation not covered?
Never again
And even getting AXA to respond at all required Squaremouth to intervene
DON’T USE AXA
I previously had a travel claim with Tinleg and they were extremely resposive and quick to resolve the claim. With AXA I am being made to run from pillar to post. I sent an email on Feb 6 with all receipts etc. and there was no response. So I called them yesterday and they said they are awaiting a claim form from me. I am surprised nobody reached out to me to seek this and I had to follow up!

Very slow process for a small claim. Multiple follow ups required. Asked for same information multiple times. Quality of email communication poor. Will not be purchasing AXA products any more
I called AXA when it became clear that I could not travel to Cuba, not because I was ill but because of Pres Trump’s interference in Venezuela and Cuba. I asked to cancel my insurance and they refused. They said if I planned another trip by the date I was supposed to go to Cuba I could use it for that. That was too fast for me to plan. So I lost the money for the insurance. I will not use them again.
We’re sorry you were disappointed. When you contacted us, your policy was outside the 10-day free-look cancellation period; however, we did offer a one-time courtesy option to transfer your coverage to a new trip within the original policy travel dates. We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly and appreciate the opportunity to clarify how the coverage rules applied in this situation.
I had to go to see a dentist when I was in Florence Italy. Tooth 19 had to be removed because it all of a sudden caused alot of pain. Also tooth 20 had started to give me discomfort during the flight to Italy. It was full of decay and the dentist found it necessary to treat it to avoid further complications and infection. AXA will reimburse me for the extraction but not for the tooth treatment 20 which was necessary . I wonder why I would not get reimbursed for this part.

I got reimbursed for the extraction of a tooth. I thought that cleaning out and replacing a filling ( my tooth caused me discomfort and the X-rays showed that there was an
infection going on) would be covered but it was denied. I understand there are lots of limitations regarding dental coverage. But time response of AXA was acceptable.
I canceled my travel but I was told I couldn't get my money back.
And i had canceled the rrip in May 2025.
