My daughter was on a university language learning program in Morocco. When she was traveling back to the airport the shuttle or mini bus that was to pick her up was involved in a minor fender bender and was late to the university to pick her up. We had to buy her new airline tickets in order for her to travel back to the US because she failed to get n her flight even though she was at the airport an hour before departure and the airline insisted that they need 2 hours arrival before departure. The claim was filed in June. The underwriting has refused to issue the claim because they want proof that the bus was involved in a minor traffic accident. There is absolutely no was for the girl to get that information from a foreign country at this stage. This is an unreasonable request.
Asked for refund for cancelled trip due to medical illness problem for me and my wife. Submitted supporting documents as asked to do, and received reimbursement for trip costs in full (up to limit of policy) within 3 weeks. No problems. In our experience they performed as expected and worth the cost of the policy!

The 24 hour assistance staff was very helpful in getting our case information set up. We hope they are that helpful when we go to file the claim now following our trip.

1. the claim was lost for approx 3 weeks, and i had to call them to find it in their files......
2. they then sent me this: "Complete Booking Confirmation with dates of travel and flight information for your Spirit Airlines flight"
3. Then, I sent them this...."you have it..........if you would have read the file i sent you.......its page 7, 8, 9, 10, 11...........ReRead please: my packet was lost for approx 3 weeks and now you are asking for information already sent to you.......this is not going well......

She explained the claim process and the documentation required.
I observed that the process was very difficult.
She told me, in a very sharp tone that if I did not want to follow the process then I should not file a claim. Did not appreciate her response or tone. She is clearly one who is a prime candidate for retraining.
AXA makes very easy to purchase their product but very difficult to use it.
Gives me pause to wonder why I would want to use AXA again.
