AXA customers frequently mention the provider’s efficient customer service, especially when it comes to making pre-departure adjustments to a policy. However, some customers have voiced that the claims process takes too long and lacks transparency.
Customer service was prompt and courteous. They provided the necessary forms which we are currently processing.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your customer service experience and that they were able to provide you with the assistance you needed.

We are awaiting feedback on our claim made over a week ago.
My experience is really bad with Axa and their agent who is dealing with the claim. They are not replying for many days and then they ask something which was already sent to them. My feeling is that the only intention now is to push out the date of claim payment. This is not something that I would expect from such a reputable organization. Will never by Axa insurance again.

The claim procedure was the worst customer experience of my life. The people who were handling the claim procedure were prolonging the process as long as they could. Their policy is to reply withing two weeks if they have any further question, otherwise the claim should be resolved. It happened several times that they asked some additional info 1-2 days before the end of the two weeks process, thus prolonging the whole thing. This went as far that at some point they started to ask for the same documents that I already sent them. To receive the money we paid for medical services abroad took more then 4 months. I was expecting something totally different from such a well known brand. I am seriously considering filing an official complaint against AXA at their supervising authority.
The cruise line cancelled the trip, so AXA refunded our premium in full.
Easy to use
When part of our trip was cancelled 2 weeks before our trip, AXA adjusted the coverage and the price immediately when notified of the partial cancellation.
Customer Service Rep was very helpful. Thank goodness all went perfectly from start to finish but knowing that we were covered if that hadn’t been the case gave us a sense of comfort when traveling. We won’t hesitate to use your services again in the future.
I am waiting for details on my trip from the travel agency, Swoop. Thereafter, I will submit and file the claim.
There was an airline strike in Argentina during the time we were there, causing us to lose the cruise on the Stella Australis, hotel rooms associated with the stay, rebooking flights to Punta Arenas. It was a mess.
I hope to have all of the information to you in the next couple of weeks.

I don't remember. We arrived and returned ok.
Hard to give star ratings because it was so long ago that I don't remember.
I purchased $34,000 of AXA Gold trip insurance through Squaremouth for a 30-day cruise and land excursion with my wife. Unfortunately, 4 months prior to the cruise my wife died unexpectedly. After eventually deciding to take the trip solo (in her honor), I spoke with AXA's representative about how to proceed. They sent me the appropriate claim form and told me that if I traveled solo, they would also cover the increased cost of the "single supplement" which the cruise line would charge. I hadn't even thought about that.
The cruise line did increase my fare by 75%, and also gave me a refund for the paid price difference. After filing the claim with AXA with the requested documents (certified mail), I received a phone call from AXA a few days later asking a few questions and requesting 1 additional document, which I faxed them. They determined that since I had received a partial refund from the cruise line, my claim should be for $11,500, and I agreed. The check was received a few days later.
I would recommend AXA without reservation for fast, courteous service and prompt claim resolution -- and their premium was 50% of that offered by the travel agent!
