The policy terms and price combination met our requirements.
Policy extended as trip needed to be rescheduled due to COVID. Berkshire made it easy to extend policy for another year to cover trip postponement
Ultimately they paid out but it is a slow process.
It was 15 business days from submission and then if you amend/submit anything else it restarts another 15 business day timer.
They should tighten these times up and also provide better communication.
With that said, I would probably use them again.

Berkshire Hathaway’s customer service was extremely helpful in guiding me through the steps I would need to complete for my claim.
BHTP promptly sent us our documents, recommended their app for use while out of the country, and emailed us just to touch base a few days before our departure. We fortunately did not have to use the insurance as everything went smoothly with our travel.
They were overall really great, my claim didn't qualify though, it's a long story but my partner is the one who was taking care of me financially then became a victim of bank fraud. So they lost the majority of their money. I had to ask all my friends to get me an emergency flight back to the United States, which was quite pricey. My partner ended up homeless(but doing better now) and I am indebted to my friends. However, I think they had terms that since my partner wasn't covered by their policy that it doesn't qualify as a claim for my welfare during the trip. All I asked was that I get the money I used for the emergency ticket that I borrowed from my variety of friends who helped since it interrupted my trip.
Called and asked a pre-departure question with BH regarding increasing amount of our coverage. They were friendly and provided the information I needed. Plan to use BH again in the future.
Coverage and pricing was very good. Agent knew my name when I called the day before leaving to add an extra night lodging! They were ready to receive calls from 2 other members traveling with me. We were all impressed with their personal touch! Thankfully, there was no need to make a claim.
I would not hesitate to use BHTP again or to recommend them to other travelers!
