Detour Travel Insurance Reviews

I had a modification to my insurance dates and spoke to a Detour representative who was able to take care of my request efficiently. I'm very satisfied with my experience.

Ins claimed that plane malfunction and cancellation not covered. We were unable to get to Iceland before cruise left.

I submitted a claim with with Detour 16 days ago regarding a trip interruption and a lost/delayed bag. So far I have received ZERO communication or feedback.

Great assistance from Detour underwriter as I had to change the coverage amount several times.

While we did not need to use the Detour policy, it was reassuring to know that we had it just in case. The customer service was fine and the cost is fair. What more could you ask for,

Your staff was able to transfer our coverage from a trip we cancelled to a new trip, thank you.

Customer service rep was very nice but she didn't seem overly confident in answering some of my pre departure questions regarding strikes.

Thankfully didn't need to use the policy. But for the price it gave piece of mind during overseas vacation

Customer service is open on weekends but no one able to actually help with a claim which was not helpful for receiving any guidance during our trip. Paperwork since has been cumbersome.
