I had to terminate my trip after 4 days because of a medical emergency. I intend to file a claim to recoup what I can for the expenses of the tour and travel, etc. I have not been able to fill out claim information at this point because of health issues but i am trying to gather information to do so.
It was an easy process to purchase the travel insurance but I have not yet tried to file a claim or speak to Detour so I cannot comment on their service or follow through.

My claim and communication was handled in a timely and professional manner. I will definitely use them again. I hope I won’t have to make another claim but if the need arises there will be no stress or worry and that’s reassuring!

As soon as we submitted our denial from Humana, the claim was processed and paid in full. Very pleased.
We contacted about lost luggage but will not be submitting any claim

We were happy we had this travel insurance coverage and fortunately did not have to make a claim. About one month before leaving on the trip our airline changed the flight. We had to travel one day earlier and I wrote to the insurance company to change the policy date and they approved it without issue.
I would certainly use them again for our travel insurance needs.

I have received your decision. I find it very unsatisfactory. There was no way for me to contact the Reykjavik security after leaving the country and to file a "report". The loss is not a lsrge amount financially and is the first time I have claimed a loss on an insurance bought through Squaremouth. I have used Squaremouth for over 15 years and have recommended it to my patients who travel. Obviously I will point out to Squaremouth as well as to patients and friends to avoid purchasing Detour insurance at all costs in future.
