HTH Travel Insurance customers appreciate the option to submit claims documents online and feel that the policies offer good value for their money. However, some travelers report having trouble contacting the provider’s 24-hour Emergency Assistance department.
I was confused about the apps for the HTH insurance company (Apps: Geoblue & mPassport). I couldn't find a simple description regarding the purpose of each app, how to log into each app, and how to use each app. The fellow on the help line was not very helpful. He told me the App logins should be the same as my login for the HTH account, but that did not work. Also, couldn't really tell me what is Geoblue vs. HTH.
They were very professional and handled my claim completely.
Very poor experience
They helped me obtain the best coverage at the best price.
It was good to know available but thankfully we didn’t need.
Surprised that our options to cover pre-existing conditions and be primary coverage was limited, but HTH has reliably offered this coverage through Squaremouth.
Purchased HTH Travel Insurance through Squaremouth ahead of our Panama Canal & Caribbean Cruise.
Incurred some unexpected medical needs on-Ship which resulted in on-Ship medical bills and a missed nonrefundable prepaid port excursion.
We didn't want to delay making the insurance claim, so we did so within a week of when we returned home. Policy information (obtained when the policy was first purchased) seemed to focus on mailing-in paperwork ... but with a bit of searching I found that CBPInsure provided an online portal for submitting a claim. Entered the HTH policy number into CBPInsure and our names were pre-populated ... Success!
Paperwork from the Ship didn't align exactly with the categories of documents CBPInsure recommended, but CBPInsure clearly recommended lumping all the paperwork together and using the "Other" category for the downloaded pdf(s) if things didn't align just right.
Made some hand annotations on the documents (highlighting expenses associated with the claim -- helping to justify numbers a bit more than just submitting bare receipts) before scanning and downloaded everything easily. CBPInsure provided an automated confirmation email which included copies of all the downloaded documents. (BTW, it really helped having printed copies of several interim bills from on the Ship. This made it easier to justify unanticipated expenses and missed excursion costs.)
Less than three weeks later we now have two refund checks: one for the itemised on-Ship medical bills and another for the missed prepaid port excursion. So we're good on our insurance claim!!!
Squaremouth/HTH/CBPInsure did *very* well! We will look towards using same for future similar travel insurance needs.
just fine. fortunately, no need to make a claim.
Navigating the website was easy. Knowing that the Policy included pre existing medical conditions was an important factor to buying the policy.
My wife had to have a hip replacement and when I called to file a claim I was told it was an existing condition and I could file, but it would be denied. When the trip was booked we did not know she would need surgery. Plus the airline changed our flight from a direct flight of 4 hours or so to 3 layovers that would have been close to 20 travel hours and we couldn't do that either. We will never look for travel insurance with your company again. Very poor customer service and a lot of money for nothing.
