This insurance company is a scam and stole my money. It took them 3+ months to reply to my email. I purchased the HTH Preferred Trip Insurance which clearly stated it covered Trip Interruption (which includes land accommodation) which they also informed me it would after the incident on the phone. We were stuck in Mexico due to a Hurricane and could not leave our hotel therefore had to stay an additional night. Our flight was cancelled and it was dangerous to leave the hotel. The insurance did not compensate us anything for the extra night of land accommodation. Complete waste of money and will likely be filing a compliant to the California Department of Insurance. I have never been more disappointed with customer service and reply time.
We were not able to take the trip due to restrictions in Canada.
We’re talked to Zachary on 2/26/21 and we have the insurance now for the trip which will be taken Aug 21, 2022 - Sept 3, 2022.

Good customer service., provided comparable rates with greater insurance coverage that made this company standout in terms of travel insurance value.
I just submitted my claim two days ago and it seems a little ridiculous that their automated response says to allow 15 business days for a response. We will see how long it takes to complete this claim which will impact my ultimate review of my experience with HTH.

I have been trying to receive a medical expense reimbursement that is covered under the policy for over 2 months. I submitted the claim documents two times and have literally never heard anything from the insurance company. Not even an acknowledgment of receipt. I am highly dissatisfied. I give this experience zero stars.
There was a problem when I purchased the policy with dates. It was difficult to determine with a red-eye flight and what to consider the leave date. Customer service was very helpful
Our trip was postponed until 2022 due to the coronavirus. We hope to still use the policy next year.
There should be a way to have a letter documenting coverage for travelers automatically sent to the email affiliated with coverage, once the order is placed.
This would avoid the phone call to HTH.
