Before the trip we talked to HTH about the Coronavirus. They told us that they would not cover any problem due to Coronavirus. They would not cover trip interruption, or quarantine or anything related to Coronavirus. So we asked if the would cover trip cancellation due to Coronavirus concerns. They said yes. But when we cancelled the trip and submitted a claim they denied it.

One of my traveling companions took a bad fall on 2/3/20 requiring 5 stitches to her head, but she also broke both her wrists requiring surgery a week later needless to say I notified HTH travel insurance on 2/4/20 I would not be going on the cruise by myself. I am 70 yrs old and would never take a cruise on my own. HTH agent sent me all the claim forms I would need via email. So far happy with rep and service I have been provided. I mailed my claim last week.

I have filed a medical claim through HTH since my return from my vacation.
Why on vacation, while in Switzerland, I called HTH and asked some questions. Due to the labor strikes in Paris, we were concerned about being able to get to Paris and get out of Paris. We had received notification that our pre-purchased train tickets to Paris from Lausanne, Switzerland had been cancelled. We were also concerned about our safety in traveling to Paris. I called HTH and asked questions as to if we didn't go to Paris due to the strikes and that our train had been cancelled, what kind of coverage did I have to recoup what we had spent on train tickets, what was due at a hotel, and that we would probably have to fly from Geneva, Switzerland to London (which was on our itinerary after Paris). What infuriated my husband and I is that the lady I spoke with on the phone told me she would research and call me back in 15 minutes. 15 minutes, she said. She never - never - called me back. Not only was that a slap in the face it took your company ONE WEEK to respond to my husband by email. That is a failing grade for your company! I believe I called HTH on 12/26/19 in the evening, Switzerland time. Below I have copied the email we received ONE WEEK LATER. AND what I was questioning is not on page 8 or 9. You were absolutely no help. I look forward to my medical claim being paid in full. Kay Rivard
