HTH Travel Insurance customers appreciate the option to submit claims documents online and feel that the policies offer good value for their money. However, some travelers report having trouble contacting the provider’s 24-hour Emergency Assistance department.
When it was time to call customer service because of a probable medical situation during the trip, the customer service folks were extremely professional and assisted in providing the point of contacts overseas that I needed to get to. All in all I only got see a specialist to confirm I did not need a surgery but just in case an emergency came to be, the folks at HTH were ready to assist and help in the process... in the future in case of travel, the only thing I'll do different is to contact customer service and ensure to have the medical point of contacts and any other details concerning an emergency that may arise before leaving the US.
It was very easy and straight-forward selecting the perfect insurance for our needs.
I needed to change my departure date as my father was very ill. I contacted HTH to try and change my policy dates. Spoke to a customer service agent and she said she would pass my information on to their insurance assessors.
She said I should be able to extend my dates for no extra charge. I received an automated email after that, but my attempts to get anymore help from them were to no avail.
So, I left for my trip on the 25th of July and had to hope and pray I didn't get sick till my insurance start date. Fortunately I was okay.
To sum up, I will never buy another policy from HTH when I travel.
After carefully reviewing the timeline from when you contacted customer service via telephone and email, I confirmed we responded back to you within the 3rd day with a confirmation email that your travel dates were changed. We were not able to locate any communication made after this confirmation email was sent to your email address.

My experience with HTH was very disappointing. Our flight was cancelled and therefore rescheduled 24 hours later and we had a lot of problems and had to incur a lot of expenses and we had expected to be able to speak to somebody from HTH and try to get somebody on the phone but it turns out that that was not possible since it was the weekend. Their 24-hour service was pretty much useless so we had to wait until we returned from our trip to even speak to somebody. I left them a message and they called me back and the number that I called was not even HTH it was some other third-party organization. When I did call them I spoke to somebody from another organization who then forwarded me back to another person from HTH. Once I did speak to somebody they told me that I could not file anything and all of the expenses that we incurred including extra transportation fees and hotel would not be covered under the policy for trip interruption or trip delay. Very disappointing since we could not speak to anybody over the weekend and that nothing was covered. Square mouth was easy to work with but I will not be working with HTH anymore
