I tried contacting John Hancock 4 days before my trip with a question.I was on hold for a long time. A recording came on saying I could leave my number and someone would contact me within 24 hours. I did not get a call back until a week later. This is unacceptable and I will not use John Hancock Travel insurance again.

We did not take the trip …..we cancelled because the ports were closed and the cruise lines new itinerary was not satisfactory. We rebooked the cruise for 2/26/2022 and we transferred the insurance to that trip. Thank you
When my trip dates changed, it was quick and easy to contact a John Hancock agent and change the policy accordingly.
I made a claim but still have not heard back and it seems like I should’ve already.

I purchased the cancel for any reason policy. When I said that I was suspended from my job and that’s why I canceled that should’ve been end of story and my check should’ve been mailed.!
Instead I received a request for a copy of my Suspension and the date of my hire to my company. None of these things are any of your business. I purchased a cancel for any reason policy.
As of this time I have not sent copies of those requested items as again it is not any of your business when I purchased a cancel for any reason Policy. Please call me and make arrangements to send me a check. Thank you.
I was in Tortola and could not call out to John Hancock to talk to them about my lost/delayed bag. So I didn’t know what to do. I did send an email and they just sent me a form - but did not give me any instructions of if it’s OK to replace the items that we didn’t have and needed while we are on the island. I.e. sun lotion, clothes, hat, sunglasses etc.
I will use John Hancock again because of there great customer service

I called before my trip to ask specifically about coverage and the reps were unable to locate my policy. This left me feeling a bit unsure of situation although my questions were answered in general.
It took over a month to resolve the claim. Every time I submitted what they asked for, weeks went by and then they asked for more. No way to interact directly via email with assigned claims agent. Difficult initially to find claims form to file. Everything they require to file a complete claim should be CLEARLY spelled out on their site. I will NEVER use them again for travel (or any other) insurance. A lot of wasted time fr $175 claim!
