A very long time for nationwide to respond over four weeks
We are making a claim due to illness and hospitalization during our trip. We have called their customer service line 3 times. They never answered and we waited on hold for close to three hours total. We will see how much effort this claim requires and if they reimburse us for portions of our trip as they should.
Unfortunately, Nationwide did not communicate with me once my claim was filed to keep me informed of the status of same. I didn’t know it was settled until I received a check in the mail. In the meantime, I filed a complaint with zero complaint which could have been avoided altogether had they let me know the status.
While I was happy with the outcome, communication could be improved.

Albeit it took Nationwide 2 months after my travel was completed to pay out, I am happy to have received it.

I would like to get the reimbursement for 2 checked in suite cases lost during the travel from New York to Belgrade. The departure date was June 27th.
As of today , July 27th the luggage didn’t arrive. I consider it as lost, all the documents attached to clamp, please proceed the reimbursement, thank you

I originally ordered my Nationwide travel policy without any rental car insurance. I later considered adding Nationwide's additional policy rider and had questions about that. I contacted Nationwide customer service and was very pleased, first, to speak with a real person (not a chatbot) and, second, it was a knowledgeable person. In the end I decided not to add on the rental car rider but my experience with the Nationwide customer service was very positive.
