Got sick and missed part of our tour. Am finding it impossible to reach anyone by phone or way to file an online claim. A waste of time and money.

We are filing via mail and it leaves in the mail 10/27/22 to your claims department in Tampa with 59 pieces of paper requested for 3 claims
While the claims process took about 7 weeks and we heard nothing from the insurance company throughout the period, the claim was paid in full with interest.

We decided to extend our trip. Nationwide was unable to extend but referred us to a company that covered the extension
No complaints. Getting some basic information was difficult, and as expected, I was referred to lengthy and complex legal documentation and language. It was difficult to clearly understand the answers to my questions with total confidence.
The cruise we were planning on Holland America was cancelled due to the Japanese not allowing tourists. Holland immediately refunded our fare, leaving only the airfare to be covered.
We first filed the claim 5/19/22. We received the settlement 9/24/22.
Filing the claim was fairly straightforward. But from there it was a series of replies that due to unusually heavy volume of claims, they were running longer than normal.
On July 17th we received a request for us to complete an Airline/Cruise line Agreement which we returned on July 18th, 2022..
Our flight was scheduled for October 10, 2022. On September 14, we became concerned about how to proceed with the airline tickets, since they originated in Tokyo, and we were not going to be there.
We called and spoke with Lee on the 14th. She told us we should have been told to cancel the airline tickets and submit proof they had been cancelled. Further, Lee took ownership of the problem, telling us to contact her only rather than having to explain everything to someone else. What a tremendous relief. We called Hawaiian Airlines, cancelled the tickets immediately, and submitted the documentation that same day. Once Lee took ownership, we obviously had the matter resolved very quickly.
We still are left with the question of why someone didn't notify us of the need to cancel the tickets sooner.

Had a very good experience. It took awhile but understood due to the circumstances. We got full payment plus interest. We were very pleased. We would definitely recommend nationwide to our friends and family.
I had one telephone contact asking for clarifcation of the policy wording and my questions was promptly and thoroughly answered on the call.
