    No issues. Purchase was easy; pricing was competitive. I made a change to my trip plans shortly before leaving, and contacted you to see if any change to terms would apply. None did, and the interaction was handled well.

    I filed a claim because I had a medical issue and could not fly. The experience with Nationwide was good until a hitch developed. Part of the claim was a reimbursement for the rental house I had purchased. I provided them with contact information for the owner of the house. Apparently, they dialed the wrong number. They contacted me detailing what they needed from the owner. Within 1 day I provided them everything they needed. When I checked on the status of the refund, I was told that it would take another 15 days from the date of the additional information I sent them. It now has been more than 2 weeks, so I am still waiting.

    What bothers me is that when they contacted me that they needed more information from the owner of the rental house, they had already approved the reimbursement from the airline. There is no reason it should have taken another 15 days. The additional information was exactly everything they asked for. It is so clear that I am entitled to the refund. Still waiting.

    1. The company was very clear about documentation requirements.
    2. The claim form was convenient and easy to understand and fill out.
    3. The time elapsed between filing the claim, getting a decision and payment of my claim was very reasonable.
    4. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

    We had a delay during our trip, so I contacted Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company during our trip and they emailed a claim form and upon returning from the trip I called customer service for assistance in filling out the form and after explaining my situation to your rep she told me to contact American Airlines and get a letter from them verifying our trip delay. I spent the next 3 days contacting American Airlines numerous times in getting this documentation and then contacted your customer service again this morning to see if the documentation I received would suffice and was told that my trip delay does not qualify. I CAN NOT EXPRESS ENOUGH HOW VERY FRUSTRATING THIS IS TO BE TOLD TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS TIME AND EFFORT AND THEN TO BE TOLD THE INFORMATION FROM YOUR FIRST REP I SPOKE TO WAS INACCURATE.

    We had to cancel our river cruise because of a medical issue. The Nationwide representative emailed the required paperwork immediately. It said to allow 15 days for processing and a check for our refund arrived on the 15th day! Wonderful, efficient service - would certainly recommend Nationwide travel insurance!
