Nationwide offers five comprehensive policies through Squaremouth, including three specifically designed for cruisers. Additionally, Nationwide stands out by including ‘Interruption for Any Reason’ benefits as standard protection, which is rare among providers.

Customers generally have positive experiences with Nationwide’s customer service, praising agents for being helpful and easy to reach. However, some note that claims can take longer than expected to process, with delays in response times once a claim is filed.
In general my experience was good, but I wanted a product that would work domestically and internationally for a year-old period, for periodic trips not gone the entire year. I guess you don't offer that.

I canceled this policy because, contrary to pre-purchase information, it did not cover pre-existing conditions.
Finding the correct policy for me was easy with the help of customer service. The price was very fair. I did not have to place a claim - luckily.
I would recommend Nationwide Mutual Insurance to anyone
I bought travel insurance from Nationwide via Squaremouth, my policy # NWE1803026311B for China Travel. The agency that organize my trip , Sinorama Hollidays Inc. , went on out of business. My policy cover financial default but Natiowide Insurance denied my claim, I already paid over $4,000.00 for this trip
The Closure Advisory states that “Consumers may file a claim for the original land and arrangements paid for and not provided due to the failure of Sinorama Holidays Inc (accommodation, bus tour, speed train, cruise and air travel in destination and any optional tours purchased) from the Travel Industry Compensation Fund.”. It also states that you can download a Consumer Claim Form by clicking a link in the advisory or by emailing tico@tico.ca and that there is a 6-month filing deadline for claims.

My trip was cancelled by the Canadian Government when they revoked the business license of the travel company we booked with. I filed a claim with Nationwide but my claim was denied because they don't cover "the bankruptcy or default of the agency from whom you purchased your land/sea arrangements." My friends booked with another company (through squaremouth) and they received full refunds. I contacted the Zero Complaint department but the rep I talked to didn't think my claim would be paid by the company.
My advice is to read the policy language carefully with respect to financial default because it's obvious that all policies aren't created equal.

Your customer service reps are very well trained, knowledgeable and helpful.
The tour company, based in British Columbia, declared bankruptcy. Nationwide denied our claim since their travel insurance did not cover the failure of the tour operator. In my opinion this reason is unacceptable.
The departure date for your trip to China listed on your itinerary is November 9, 2018.
Upon review of the Sinorama Holidays, Inc. Closure Advisory you submitted, it provides specific instructions for individuals who have booked a tour to China with departure dates from August 21, 2018 onwards. Since I haven’t completed the filing of my claim it’s hard to be thorough in providing feedback. The forms that were emailed to me for the foreign medical provider were not helpful due to the language barrier as they were only in English. Perhaps having forms available in dual Spanish/English might be something to look into particularly in “3rd world” cities like Cozumel Mexico.
I had to cancel my trip due to upcoming surgery. I filed all the necessary forms and documents. Instructions were clear and concise. No need to call for assistance. My claim was processed within 30 days and I had my refund in hand 35 days after my claim was filed. Now that is customer service. I have an upcoming European trip planned for July, 2019. I have already purchased insurance with Nationwide.
