Had to canal due to husband being in hospital. Even had note from dr saying not to travel.. I filed a completely legitimate claim and. It been. 30 days and still no resolution. I think they are just giving me the runaround to delay having to pay a legit claim. I will never use them again and will recommend same to friends.

My wife and I purchased RoamRight travel insurance before our trip to Paris in September, 2017. While in Paris, my wife had to visit an emergency room due to her medications being stolen. RoamRight covered the ER visit, medication cost at a pharmacy, and transportation to and from the hospital, minus the small deductible. I downloaded the claim forms, completed them, and attached a cover letter since the circumstances didn't fit well in the forms. But, there was no hassle, the insurance worked as it was supposed to work, and I am very satisfied.

Trip was cancelled due to surgery on October 6, with a predicted 6 month recovery. All paperwork has been submitted and acknowled as received. I still don't know if the credit card charge has been cancelled
Sadly I was badly bitten by a dog just before my trip and needed to cancel. I contacted RoamRight and they were very helpful in informing me what I needed to do. I filled out all the forms and sent them in via email. A couple of weeks later I phoned again to check on my claim. I was told that it was approved and that I would be getting a check. It wasn’t long before the check arrived. They made it all so easy. They were efficient, informative, and courteous as well as sympathetic about what happened to me. I will definitely use them again.

I filed a claim online on November 31, and I am still waiting to hear the result. I called customer service once and was told I would need to wait one month. So I will know the result in about a week.

My experience with Roamright exceeded expectations and the people in the Claims department were a pleasure to work with. Having filed a claim for a canceled vacation during all the terrible hurricanes in September, I expected an extremely long turnaround time to process my claim and wouldn't have been surprised if administrative challenges slowed the process. I submitted the required paperwork and just one phone call about 30 days after the claim I was told the check was going out and sure enough two days later it was in my mailbox. Incredible service considering the very high volume of claims they were handling. I just bought another policy that I am hopeful I will not need to file a claim on, but I know it's there with a great company behind it if I do. Thanks to all the great folks at RoamRight. I wouldn't take a vacation without it.
The claim was paid but there was no communication or updates from RoamRight during the process.

I give this company 5 stars - the entire process was very easy, not only to purchase, but I unfortunately needed to file a claim. My husband wound up having to have knee replacement surgery and we needed to cancel our trip to Romania and the Czech Republic. We were compensated for every $ we had spent AND I learned a very unfortunate lesson. I had failed to insure my "ticket" as it was purchased with points. Note to self for future travel - make sure you are covering everything from beginning to end.
I would definitely do business with Roam Right again.

Besides being slow in processing the claim, the matter has been settled fairly since it is a small amount of claim ($95 minus $50 deduction).
