About three weeks before my trip was to begin i had emergency surgery that would prevent me from flying for at least three weeks. I contacted RoamRight, cancelled my trip, submitted the paperwork requested, and was very pleased to find a check in the mail about three weeks later for the full amount I requested. I will always purchase RoamRight for my future travels and strongly recommend it to friends and family.

To our great disappointment, were unable to make the trip due to a very unexpected medical diagnosis. We filed with Roam Right more than a month in advance of our scheduled departure. There was a request made for additional medical records in mid Sept. (We had submitted the medical form signed by the Cardiac doctor who made the diagnosis.) It is now a month later and we are still waiting to hear back from Roam Right. Currently Roam Right is flooded with new claims because of hurricane Matthew. From the reviews of Roam Right, we had not anticipated the claim would take this long to be resolved.

We had anticipated a quicker resolution to our claim. The process took 2 1/2 months. Apparently there was a delay due to RoamRight needing additional information from the medical facility and that took more time. Hurricane Matthew also occurred during the time our claim was being processed and that may have been part of the delay. We received the entire amount we claimed and we would use RoamRight again. We did receive prompt responses to our inquiries during the process.

I was sent a check for $200 which was very much appreciated since I had to pay for a room and a rental car to get home.
The only reason I did not rate 5 was during the claim process I felt that RoamRight should have sent me email updates about where they were in the process.
Roam Right was responsive and efficient in the claims process. They settled our claim very quickly and to our satisfaction. I was very impressed with them. I will use them again.

Able to submit claim online. Claim for expenses for being stuck in Los Angeles when people thought someone was shooting at LAX. Filed as soon as I got home. In one week, received my check for amount requested.

had my backpack with netbook, camera, etc stolen on train in IT. submitted claim on 9/25/16, awaiting results. so far phone conversations with claims people have been helpful.

This was our first time both purchasing travel insurance and having to file a claim. The claim agent was very patient and understanding and helped every step of the way. Communication was easy via email, claim was easy to file online. We will definitely use them in the future.
Time will tell, but my previous interaction with Squaremouth and the companies they provide for travel insurance was extremely good.
RoamRight did acknowledge our claim within 24 hours of generating the claim, but as of today September 2, 2016 it has not been settled. Claim was for $4198.96 to cover the additional cost of the same exact car in Boston rather than our original destination.

The only confusing I had was that when the claim was paid, and in a very timely manner, I could not understand why I was only getting 1/2 to the amount claimed. I did discover a bit later that half was paid using my insurance and half was paid to my wife's insurance policy. Once I understood everything was GREAT!
We will never travel without an trip insurance policy in the future and have already gotten trip insurance for our trip in May of 2017.
