I began feeling ill on a Friday.....I was to leave for Miami and then Cuba the following Tuesday. I saw my doctor on Monday and she advised me not to travel. I called my travel company and then at some point filled out the claim info for RoamRight. I don't remember the timing of all of that as I was not well. A week or so later, I emailed my claim rep to do a follow up. I was advised that the claim had been approved and a check was in the mail. RoamRight was very professional and timely in their response. I will definitely recommend them to all friends and family.
My interaction is not complete with Roam Right yet. To date my experience with Roam Right has been good. They quickly responded to my email and also sent an email letting me know they had received my claim. Once the claim process is completed I will be able to give a better and more complete review.
Thus far, interactions with RoamRight have been entirely online. I have submitted all paperwork and am waiting for a determination of the claim. I am a bit surprised that I haven't been contacted by a live person, but I have received periodic e-mails from costumer service so I am being patient.
The trip was cancelled. My son was diagnosed with cancer a few days after I bought the insurance. He did have surgery before I bought the insurance and RoamRight denied the claim on that basis.
My daughter suffered an injury cancelling our travel plans. The claim was handled within a,week. I received rapid reimbursement. Great service!
Would like to see more communication about the claim I filed
I found that calling RoamRight was easy and incurred a very short wait time. The first time I called, I got a quick and definitive answer as to whether we would be covered by cancellation due to illness. The second time, I was asking some questions about filling out the claim form, and I got those answers clearly and definitively. In both cases, the people answering were friendly and informative. I have not yet heard an official resolution of my claim, but assuming all goes well, I will definitely use RoamRight again.
I called to get a quote and in about 5 minutes, I was able to get the policy and be all set.

Filed claim online; was asked for a few more documents. Spoke with Jaime, got her what she needed. Claim was placed Feb. 12, check was mailed Feb. 24. Great service. Only quibble was that there were two claims, (self and spouse) but there was no second claim payment eob generated, which caused a bit of confusion at our end. Not critical, in any event.
