Many Arch RoamRight customers highlight the provider’s quick claims process and compassionate customer service representatives. However, some travelers report that updates on their claim status are rare, and gathering the needed documents for claims can be challenging.
My claim sat in "new" status for 6-7 weeks. After getting no response to emails, I called them. It took 3 phone calls to finally talk to a claims adjuster. The adjuster found and handled my claim promptly from that point and it was paid.
It took a little while, but overall the process was straight forward and without hiccups. We were forced to evacuate during our fall beach trip to Seaside, FL due to Hurricane Michael. Overall the trip interruption claim was handled efficiently, and without problem. The process seemed a little slow, but overall I was OK with it as the company emailed me updates as the claim's status changed and the process progressed. I received my refund check, and it was right on par with what I thought I should receive. This is why you buy trip insurance, and it reinforces the fact that I won't be caught without it when purchasing an expensive vacation. I've purchased trip insurance for various trips over the years, and never needed it, but the one time you do, it more than pays for itself and the many times you don't....
I am very disappointed with Arch Roamright. We filed our claim over a month ago for a missed connection (included in our plan) and have heard nothing from them. I would think that good service means that someone from their company contacts claimants to let them know approximately how long it will take to resolve a claim. I am aware that we filed claims during a hurricane that disrupted service on the East Coast, but a month should be long enough to give us an idea regarding when the claim will be examined.
Daniel,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
As you noted, major hurricanes did disrupt travel on the East Coast, causing a significant influx of claims. We are working diligently to thoroughly and accurately review all claims in the order they are submitted.
Your claims examiner will be contacting you soon to update you on the status of your claim. We appreciate your patience.
My IPhone got stolen in the trip. I am very happy that I can make a claim for the personal item loss.
Will not make goid on claim. Company went out of business and i want a full refund. I hav3 sent pages and pages of information. They said the company has to fike bankruptcy. It was a canaduan company and theyjyst abandoned their business. I am due a full refund. I paud insurance to cover just such an eventuality. Would never recommend this company to anyone.
I had a straight forward delay by Norwegian Air that meant I missed my connection in London on easyJet. I contacted Arch RoamRight and submitted the information requested for 'delay'. I received a subsequent email with additional requirements that were essentially impossible to provide - certainly not without hours and hours of effort on my part. It is my clear impression that RoamRight's goal is to make a claim submittal so difficult - so challenging that they avoid the possibility of ever having to pay out on a policy. I am furious with the process and the experience. I will never use your service again.
John,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us.
As with any insurance claim, the carrier needs documentation to support the claim. The documentation requested from you in relation to your trip delay claim is the same we ask of all our trip delay claimants and is standard across the travel insurance industry.
As trip delays are common, obtaining confirmation of trip delay from your airline is typically a simplified process.
Our high customer ratings across the web as well as our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau are a testament that we pay claims when they meet criteria for coverage as outlined by the policy, and when we have all the needed documentation.
If you have any questions about your claim or the required documentation, you can contact us at claims@roamright.com, or at 855-762-6252.
I am in the process of completing a claim through Arch RoamRight, as, unfortunately, I had to cancel my travel plans. I am having a VERY poor customer service experience with Arch RoamRight. Their communication with me is almost non-existent. They do not respond to my emails. I have had to repeatedly call them to find out the status of my claim, which, after more than a month, has still not been processed. They seem to be overwhelmed with claims and, perhaps, do not have sufficient staff to handle the volume. I was able to speak with a Supervisor, and she assured me my claim would be handled. She provided me her name for any needed followup; however, when I have subsequently tried to contact her, she has been unavailable.
I would give Arch RoamRight a very poor -- one star -- customer service rating.
Barbara,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We are sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience, as well as the lack of response from our team. That is not the level of service we have worked hard to establish and maintain, and it is not indicative of our industry-wide customer satisfaction ratings.
As of yesterday, a decision was made on your claim and you should have received notification of this resolution.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at 855-762-6252 or at claims@roamright.com if you have any further questions.
The process took exactly 1 month from start to finish.
Am waiting for refund. Don’t know how much money I will be refunded. Cannot recommend until claim process is complete.
