Many Arch RoamRight customers highlight the provider’s quick claims process and compassionate customer service representatives. However, some travelers report that updates on their claim status are rare, and gathering the needed documents for claims can be challenging.
This is the second policy I have taken out with Arch RoamRight. I have found they have a variety of levels of coverage which allows me to pick the exact coverage I need. Fortunately, I have not needed to file any claims. If and when I do, I have confidence that they will be handled promptly.
So far it has been a please working with Squaremouth. Will use again in the near future. Cheers!
Telephone interaction was not very helpful. They want you to do everything on line. Filed a medical claim and am waiting to hear what they say.

We are unsure why you found your call with our customer service representative unhelpful. Listening to the call recording, it seems that our representative was able to answer the questions you had and provide a copy of the claim form requested.
While we do encourage our customers to file claims online because it allows for faster processing time on our end, we do not require everyone to file their claim that way. Our representative offered to either mail or email the claim form to you, and she honored your request to have it emailed.

24 hour assistance (this was not a medical issue) was not particularly helpful. The claims department customer service rep with whom I spoke was very courteous and helpful. I have filed a claim on 1/14 but have not heard anything yet.

My claim was first denied, about two weeks after submission. I appealed with an e-mail providing significantly more information and explanation, and received a positive response by e-mail within two days verifying that my claim was approved. I have received a check for the amount claimed.
We filed a small ($420) claim because a storm interrupted our trip and we incurred some cancellation fees when we rebooked our hotels. We provided detailed documentation, and our claim was paid in full, but I give Arch RoamRight four stars instead of five because (1) the automated email acknowledgement of my claim submission disappeared into my spam folder, and when I called their customer service phone number to find out the status of the claim I was on hold for a very long time -- I think well over half an hour -- before a human answered (and to her credit was able to quickly determine that the claim had been received and was in their queue), and (2) the time between the filing of my claim and my receipt of their check was a little more than six weeks, not an outrageously long time but not exactly a speedy resolution of such a straightforward claim.
Easy to contact them and adjust insurance amount as air travel costs were added and travel dates extended.
I had an issue with the name spelling on my policy that I did not notice before issue. I called and it was resolved effortlessly.
I will be making a claim. My plane was due to leave on time at 5 AM from Grand Forks. We were on the plane until 7 AM without moving due to problems with the De icing machine operation. We returned to the gate at 7:00 AM. We did not leave again until 10:30 AM. I missed my connecting flight and was told I could not leave MPLS until 10:38 PM. I had a flight to Omaha the next morning on a different carrier. I was fortunate enough to fly standby on a 2:30 pm flight from MPLS.
I contacted Roam Right and was told I was covered for delayed flight and missed connection. My representative was very helpful. I will be filing a claim.
I have always had a positive experience with Roam Right, and that is the only insurance that I purchase when I travel.
It took them nearly three months to process my claim, which seemed to me to be really excessive; and when I twice emailed them to inquire about its progress, I never received any answer. When I first filed the claim I received a form reply stating that it had been received, and then about three weeks later I received the same reply again, as if they had just discovered it. I really doubted I would ever hear from them about a resolution. In the end they did pay the claim, so at least there's that.

I am starting to get the feeling the RoamRight is a scam. Whenever I contact them about my claim, they tell me it is in final review. It has now been over three months since my wife's accident and I cannot get a straight answer from RoamRight. They leave you on hold forever and then refuse to connect you to someone that has a real answer. I have tried emailing and those they totally ignore. I will not use them again!!

The claim process was very fair and I was paid fully for my claim. They told me upfront what to send and unlike some claims, I did not receive constant requests for additional information. When I tried to check on the claim, I was simply told it was in process. I wish that they had done a better job of communicating. Overall, I am very pleased and would definitely purchase their insurance for my next trip.
