If I don’t take my trip because of the coronavirus, can I cancel my policy and get a refund?

Last Updated:

If you decide not to take the trip you have insured, you may be able to receive reimbursement for your premium or apply your coverage to a different trip.

Every travel insurance policy includes a Money Back Guarantee. This is a 10-14 day free look period immediately following the day you purchase the policy. During this period, you may cancel your policy for a 100% refund.

If your policy’s Money Back Guarantee period has ended, some providers may provide a pro-rated refund of your premium. However, this is not guaranteed, and due to state regulations, is only available to travelers from certain states.

This information is time sensitive and may vary by policy. If you have questions about a specific policy. please contact us directly at 800-240-0369. Our customer service representatives are available from 8am to 10pm ET, seven days a week, and are delighted to help!
