Wish there was a provision to extend policy. I had 7 week policy and wanted to extend for a week after 6 weeks of travel.
I sent in claim woth all receipts o 7/20/23, and I received conformation of receipt.

We had to cancel the trip but couldn’t receive a refund on the policy because we couldn’t rebook within the required time frame.
I had to cancel my cruise due to doctor not letting me go. I filled a claim and everything was handled in a timely manor. Just make sure you have ALL of your receipts and documents saved for submission. If you fill out the forms and send all of the requested documents, plus anything you feel is relevant, the process is fast and efficient . Very happy with the outcome. We will be using them again.
PS. Be sure and insure for everything you want to cover that can't be cancelled to insure you don't incur large losses.
I had a great experience with AXA Assistance. There was a last-minute health scare that I was concerned might jeopardize the trip. I spoke with a representative one day before departure and she listed a few options I had in terms of moving forward, which really gave me peace of mind. Luckily I ended up being able to go!
Communication was slow and impersonal, but the claim was handled fairly.
I contacted AXA via email for the assistance to file a claim for lost baggage, but have not received any news from them so far.
I broke my wrist while in Portugal and required two surgeries while I was there. AXA reimbursed me for 100% if my claim. It did take several months to receive the check, but AXA did periodically email me that they were experiencing a high volume of claims and that mine was still being worked on.
