On Thursday, August 17, 2017, a series of terrorist attacks in Spain killed at least 14 people and injured roughly 130 others. In Barcelona’s historic Las Ramblas district, a van drove into a crowd of people, killing at least 13 people and injuring more than 100 others. In the nearby town of Cambrils, a car drove into a crowd of bystanders, killing 1 person and injuring 7 others.
