    I indicate above that we contacted Travel International. We tried to do so. They have never, not once, answered their phone. We filed a claim on their web site. However, their web site asks for specific data and expenses incurred. We were on a 14 day cruise. My husband and I were quarantined separately 12 of the 14 days. The cruise was not interrupted, we were not put off the boat, but we could not enjoy any ports or shipboard activities in those 12 days. Expense incurred was minimal. We expect the cruise line will give us a future credit for the 12 days, but airfare and hotel back to a departure city will be incurred. We could not claim that given the structure of " their system ". It is frustrating that we are unable to discuss and explain our situation.

    I do not recommend this provider.

    Trying to stick to facts in this review: I am now three plus months post travel to Europe. Have filed two claims, one medical ($45 office visit), one car insurance (car rental company claims I damaged vehicle and had repairs done, $1,100). Surprisingly, I had all the documents/files that their online claims system requested. Claims filed two months ago once all the paperwork came in (e.g. credit card statements).

    No contact and no action by the Travel Insured International. Silence. Customer service "bots" all point to their online claim status tracker for information.

    Will be taking my situation up with my State Insurance Commission office for resolution as potential fraud.

    I really regret purchasing this plan. Our trip was interrupted due to Covid. I expected some help from their "concierge" line, but after waiting 50 minutes on hold I received nothing except "file a claim once you're home." Literally zero help arranging alternate transportation or hotel. Their customer service line was no better. They informed me that only the members of my family that were Covid-postive would receive any benefits - even if they were minors. They apparently expected my wife and I to leave our minor children alone and remain on vacation without them? Of course home tests were not acceptable either - we needed to drag anyone sick out to an urgent care to get an official covid diagnosis to be eligible for any benefits. Alternate transportation home is also not covered - so since we decided to rent a car and drive home rather than sit in a hotel room for a week and reschedule our flight - we received no benefit.

    This company's plans are a waste of money. Avoid this company at all costs, and read your insurance plan very carefully to ensure you understand what coverage you actually get.

    Couldnt establish an on line account to change my travel dates and couldn’t reach any customer assistance on the phone. Wait times too long and no one answered

    This is the worst travel insurance company I have ever dealt with. My VRBO flooded and had to cancel my accommodations, which necessitated the cancellation of my flights. I filed a claim with Travel Insured International, and it has been a month and a half and I have not been able to speak with a single person from their claims department, despite several times calling them and waiting on hold in excess of two and a half hours every time!!! Unacceptable!!! I have emailed them several times as well practically BEGGING them for a response, and still…NOTHING FROM THEM. This is not customer service. It’s more like customer DISSERVICE. I will never purchase their product again.

    My claim was filed more than 2 months ago with no resolution to date. I submitted the payment for the insurance on a timely basis therefore I reasonably expect my claim to be settled expediently.

    We submitted our claim in April. APRIL. I was diagnosed with cancer and needed chemo and radiation treatments and was brokenhearted to cancel our trip. I have since called (waiting on hold for HOURS) resubmitted and still nothing. Please send out our check ASAP. This is ridiculous and I would hate to have to involve the better business bureau or our state's regulatory body but I am starting to wonder if we will ever see our money.

    Caution. Avoid using Travel Insured at this point in time. I give them a rating 0-1 stars. Be aware that the ratings you see on Squaremouth are not a reflection of the actual rating. Star choices for Squaremouth reviews include your rating of Squaremouth (which I would give 4 stars), pre travel customer service with your insurance carrier, and customer service during travel with your carrier. There is oddly no star options for during and after the claims process. So you may see high ratings because of the limited choices. Make sure to read the comments. For us, we submitted a claim on the second to last day of travel due to a flight cancellation by our airlines and subsequent rebooking on another airline. We submitted all documents on May 3. It is now July 25th and we have not had resolution. We have received 1 email asking for more documentation and 1 automated email apologizing for the delay. They are blaming the delays on a high volume of claims at this time. Obviously there are a high volume of claims, but this is their job. I tried calling Traveled Insured multiple times, waiting as long as 2.5 hours before hanging up. Squaremouth has tried to help, but they can't really do much, unfortunately. I will use Squaremouth in the future, but unless a get resolution and payment from Travel Insured in the near future, I will continue to give them 0-1 stars.

    Horrible customer service. Took days for a reply to email. Never was able to get it resolved before I left. Even tho we had travel interruptions- just not worth dealing with this company. Will never recommend or use again.
