    We saved and anticipated this month long Transatlantic and Mediterranean cruise for a long time. We were celebrating our 51st anniversary! About 3 weeks prior to the cruise, my husband began to experience severe pain in his lower abdomen. He assumed it was a muscle pull and thought it would go away. The pain continued and the doctor diagnosed a large inguinal hernia that required immediate surgery. We were very upset and we had no other choice but to cancel this long awaited cruise. We cancelled reservations, gathered the required paperwork and filed the claim -- all with the help of the Tin Leg customer service rep. Everyone we spoke to was courteous and most helpful considering how stressed we were. My husband had the surgery and today will see the surgeon for the post-op OK that he is healing with no problems. We want to thank everyone from Squaremouth and Tin Leg who worked with us in settling this unexpected cancellation. Friends of ours were surprised at the expense for travel insurance but we told them it is imperative because an unexpected situation could come up that would result in cancelling a vacation. Thank you to all the staff who helped us with this claim.

    Tin Leg was excellent when I was admitted to hospital with emergency appendicitis. However when my local GP advised I would need to be upgraded on the flight from Australia to Traverse City MI USA my daughter was told no. After a great deal of of 'phone calls and e-mails pointing out my case was complicated because of my age (82) and Gangrene

    My Conn's Syndrome which had been stable for 20 years became unstable directly after the operation. My brother in law became involved and he finally convinced your medi vac team to comply with my GP's recommendation and arranged for an upgrade, which was very appreciated by myself and my concerned family.

    Brandi Morse was extremely helpful during this difficult time. The people at April did reverse their original decision.

    We have been using Squaremouth for a number of years now and have found that the Tin Leg policy that we buy suits our needs really well. We have spoken to Tin Leg customer service directly as well and found them to be very helpful in dealing with issues such as name spelling corrections, date corrections ( within the deadline ) and explanations of the policy etc.

    I was absolutely impressed with how Tin Leg handled my claim. My health insurance, Health Net, has yet to produce an EOB for the health portion of my claim submitted to them shortly after returning home from our trip. After five months of haggling with them, I finally called Customer Service at Tin Leg to let them know the situation. I was told to go ahead and file my claim with Tin Leg so they could expedite the review process when I did finally receive the EOB from Health Net. I submitted all of the information with a detailed cover letter explaining what had happened on vacation and the situation with Health Net. I then traveled out of the country for three weeks figuring I'd follow up with Health Net yet again when I returned home. (By the way, we had Tin Leg coverage of this most recent trip too.) Of course there was nothing from Health Net three weeks later, but I was pleasantly surprised to find two settlement checks from Tin Leg fully covering the claim. I was so relieved both by receiving the settlement and not having to continue to deal with Health Net. It was very gratifying to have Tin Leg follow through on the insurance we had purchased. We have used Tin Leg on two other trips without incident, but knowing that Tin Leg "had our backs" when we most needed it, ensures we will not hesitate to use their insurance coverage again and highly recommend them to others. Thank you for your great coverage and excellent customer service.

    The only reason I did not give Tin Lag a five star rating in one of the categories was because I found the process of adding to our premium monthly a bit cumbersome. We purchased our travel package on a no-interest monthly payment plan and as such needed to increase the Tin Leg coverage each time we paid a travel premium. Since we knew the total cost we'd end up paying, it would have been nice if there was a more automated way for Tin Leg to increment the premium each month.

    Thank you again for everything you did for us. We will definitely use Tin Leg coverage again and will recommend Tin Leg to others.
