    I have submitted a claim and have spoken to Leigh at Detour twice so far. On both occasions, she has been very helpful and courteous. The claim has not been settled at this point, but during my conversations with Leigh, I have received the guidance I’ve needed and my questions have been answered completely.

    Whats the point of getting insurance if you can’t not use it. My passport was stolen and there was no way for me to travel. This is out of my hands and frustration plus not to mention the money that I lost plus the money I paid your insurance. I had been your customer for years. From now on I will never buy insurance since is worthless. When I called and explained what happened to me the attendant should told that you guys don’t cover for this reason of lost passport. Instead she made me go through the steps wasting my time . Really bad experience from you guys. Really disappointed.

    Filed a claim for delayed luggage.
    Their were 3 purchases made for essential items/ clothes as United couldn't tell us when it would arrive.
    They only offered to pay for the first invoice and we didn't accept. Took 4 days to receive our bag.

    I did not file a claim but I had a question about coverage and my policy. I called the provider number and was able to talk to a representative immediately. I was told to email someone to resolve me issue and I had a response to my email within 10 minutes. Upon my response the issue was resolved within another 10 minutes. I was impressed with their responsiveness!

    Well, I wouldn’t have had any issue with you guys because purchasing the insurance was smooth but when I returned my suitcase was damaged I tried to make a claim and they are denying it and I don’t think it is fair.

    I had never purchased this travel insurance before, but was very pleased with both the price and the fact that you purchased the insurance with a total price amount in mind. I never like having to call to update my travel insurance based on my additional travel plans.
    Upon arriving in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, I became sick with Covid. It was very expensive to get new flights to return home, and our trip was delayed in Romania due to having to isolate for days. I was very concerned about the additional expenses, but thankfully, we had excellent travel insurance. We had purchased Detour@the edge. The customer service representatives were very kind and understanding. They helped me navigagate the claim process for trip interruption and trip delay with confidence and ease. I received the first payment in a timely matter, and then upon discussing other expenses I had incurred, I filed a second part to the claim. received the final checks for my husband and myself today. I am so happy that we have purchased the same coverage with the same company for our next big international trip. I give this company 20 stars.

    Customer service rep was most helpful with options that I may have to consider in cancelling the trip or proceeding with trip and seek a pro-rata refund, due to father-in-law being placed in hospice care. CSR was most understanding and empathetic and was appreciated. Fortunately we were able to complete our trip.
