    The policy was easy to select and purchase.
    We had a two day weather delay on our return home and the claim for expenses was handled quickly and fairly. I would purchase from this company again.

    Experience was good. No problems. Made one call for clarification and was assured our coverage was appropriate. I plan on using next trip and would recommend.

    All I really wanted was to purchase health insurance for my trip because I am on Medicare and they don't cover overseas medical expenses.
    However, I was not able to do so. I would strongly suggest that you make this an option for other travelers. I did not have a need for all of the additional insurance that was provided with this policy.

    So far there has been no claim made - it will take time to get the paperwork from the hospital. I was told I have up to 1 year to get this approved so until I am healthy this will have to wait. But DeTour Insurance seemed willing to help with this claim

    I had received courteous and speedy responses to my application prior to my trip. Because of unexpected illness the day of my departure I had to cancel this flight/trip. I'm have contacted Detour and received the same attentive responses by helping me with the necessary paperwork . I will now wait prayerfully for my refund ……… So far I would recommend Detour to others.

    My claim had been processed professionally and in a timely manner within a month. I received the full amount of canceled trip and have chosen Detour again for upcoming travel end of May. Unfortunately Squaremouth doesn’t offer this company at this time so I went directly to their site. Hopefully Detour will be back with you soon.

    It would have been a 5 star rating but the processor missed a receipt I'd provided. That precipitated an exchange of emails. But the problem was corrected and a full payment received. Otherwise the claims process is easy and payment is made quickly.
