The only responses I received so far about my claim are automated and conveyed that they were very busy so it would be a while before they reviewed my submissions.

Having trouble submitting eclaim on Generali website. Tried calling customer service and could not reach anyone for assistance. When I finally did I was instructed to print off claim form and mail it in. I would prefer to submit online.

Someone who will not use Generali from WA Verified Squaremouth Customer

I did not get this survey for my previous trip where I had Generali Global Assistance as my insurer. For that one I wanted to make a claim but their website was not working properly and I could not file a claim online. Their phone system was a maze and made it impossible to talk to a human. When I finally reached someone, they sent me some complicated forms and it felt like they had put up any possible barriers to filing a claim. My claim was for a little over $400 but because they made it so difficult, I decided to not pursue it. I will NEVER use Generali again and I am a frequent traveler. They need to fix their website and their customer service. FWIW, I am a person in the tech industry and not some old person who is mentally incompetent. Generali was the worst travel insurance experience I've had.

Having pre-existing conditions coverage added a critical level of comfort that allowed us to relax and really enjoy our travel. We would not have traveled without it. Husband is 77 and i am 67. We travelled throughout Japan for a month. A dream (bucket list) vacation. So glad we never needed to file a claim.

We needed to cancel our trip one day prior to departure because of a death in our immediate family. I started a claim on Generali's website 7-10 days after our loved one's death. Their website is non-functional. I was unable to re-enter my application after saving it. I tried multiple times, including after a conversation with a customer relations rep, who reported that Generali had had problems with the website but it was now fixed. NOT! I was finally informed about another web address, CSA, from which I could print out an application form and return it via email or mail. The rep told me that if I mailed it back (instead of emailing), it would take at least two weeks to process the claim, so he strongly recommended that I use email. I ultimately decided to mail the claim, along with the voluminous amount of paperwork Generali/CSA requires, since the last item stated in their claim/application directions reads something like, "don't send too much stuff because our email can't handle it." I had the envelope tracked by U.S. mail, so fingers crossed, they'll receive it.

Could not speak to a live person to file a claim. Required to file on line. After I set up an account, I could not log in to file a claim. The site kept telling me to sign up for an account. To date, unable to file a claim or to reach a live person.
