The shifting (increased from 3 to 6 months) lookback period on pre-existing conditions during the week I was shopping was disturbing; fortunately, it wasn't a problem. Customer service wait time was short. Best price/value Did not file claim.

I’ve tried to contact Generali on at least two or three occasions only to communicate with a bot and continually told to file online, which I found very difficult and confusing. We had an unfortunate death in the family and had to return early. We ended up flying back to the United States on a different airline, had to stay at a hotel in Nice, and despite the early return date did not get any accommodations for our rental car.

The only experience Ive had w Generali is making my balance payment for each trip taken. Honestly, I keep my fingers crossed that I won’t have to make ‘a claim’ …. This insurance is a huge expense and I dread having to follow up w a claim. Inevitably, I fear the occurrence I may call about will
be deemed ‘ not qualified’. Perhaps I’m somewhat cynical re: insurance in general, blessed that I haven’t had reason to make claims but if I added up the costs to me during my life time. …..
