    While I didn't have medical reason to use my policy in the foreign country that I visited, I would hope that I would have received fast, high-quality care without any complications through this carrier.

    Have to hold a long time on telephone for customer assistance. So far I have not heard anything after filing proof of claim over 22 days ago. When I call I'm just told that they're behind.

    The representative. I spoke with was informative and helpful in securing the policy to fit my needs. She explained the different types that would work for me. Actually I only spoke with the Squaremouth representative.
    Fortunately, I did not need to file a claim.

    Their claims service was not helpful at all. I was hung up once when asking questoons about what documentation they required. My wife notified them initially ans indicated they could not communicate imtelligently. Well see how the settlement goes

    My doctor advised against travelling, so I had to cancel the trip completely. I filed a claim and they are investigating it now. Waiting for a resolution.

    Tripmate was very slow in paying the claim after all the required documents were provided by myself and the doctor. Even going back to my doctor for more information. When the Squaremouth rep got involved, it was resolved and processed quickly. Their website said they paid the claim on Sept 29th. I called them in the am of Oct 17th still waiting for payment. The rep said the checks were mailed on the 30th of Sept.
    However when they arrived that same afternoon in the mail, the envelope was postmarked 0ct 10th.
    I now have been fully reimbursed. And am satisfied.
    Thank you Squaremouth for interceding on my behalf.

    I had problems trying to get the dates of coverage changed before the start of my trip. They were slow to respond to my emails and when I called the customer service number I kept getting the claims department and they would have to transfer my call and then no one would answer. When I finally did reach someone who could help me she was supposed to send me an email confirming the change in the coverage dates but I never received it. I'm just glad I didn't have to file a claim!

    The processing process was excellent. The website made it easy to choose between policies. Quick, easy and a few questions were answered immediately. Did not have to file a claim (thank goodness) so cannot give additional information.

    I find your site extremely helpful in comparing coverage and selecting the items that are important to me for trip insurance. Mu husband got ill on our trip and he has
    been dealing with Global Alert. It was a very tedious process to submit the claim. We have not heard back from them yet.

    WE ended up getting the full amount of the claim - approximately $4,500. But my husband submitted It about Sept 7th or 8th and it took until October 24 for us to get payment. I'm not sure everyone insuring with them could wait that long without some financial deficit. Thank you. Julie Crum
