    We live in Hawaii, we had to call early morning to contact an agent by phone. When I got it, she was very polite and answered me my questions. I had a good first impression. Only the contact time is restricted for us in Hawaii.

    When iI saw Cancel for Any Reason as a description I believed I would receive my entire amount should I need to cancel. I only received 75% due to the the fact that the relative who passed away was not close enough in my family tree. My fault for not reading the terms more carefully, I guess. But this taught me a valuable lesson. Other than that, the process and customer service were great.

    They were very helpful regarding the claim process. I am still trying to determine what the cruise line and airline will cover before filing a final claim with the insurance company.

    Our return flight home was cancelled. There were no more flights that evening. We found alternative travel via a bus. We ran for the bus and made it. I filed an $84 receipt to get the bus fare reimbursed. Because we got the bus, with no involvement of the airline, within 3 hours of our cancelled flight, they denied the claim.
    Note if we had spent the night waiting for flights the next day, we could have been reimbursed for hotel, meals, missing luggage expenses. Having found a much more efficient solution, they denied our claim.

    I found this travel insurance through AMAC. The cost was fair, and the coverage on the policy was comprehensive. I had to make a couple of changes to the policy in the period between when I first purchased the insurance and my trip, and my experience with customer service was delightful. The customer rep was friendly and made the changes easily and without the tiniest bit of hassle. I will be using these folks again for future trips, as the peace of mind I got from having this travel insurance was well worth the very reasonable price.

    Lots of paperwork involved and it took a little longer than I though it should have to get my claim approved and the money spent for the trip refunded.

    I've purchased thru squaremouth several times now. each time I've received excellent service. thankfully I've never had to file a claim but i will certainly come back to squaremouth before my next trip.

    I purchased my travel insurance policy in good faith expecting the same from John Hancock. On the last day of my trip a few hours before I had to leave for the airport I fell and broke three of my front teeth. When I got home I saw my dentist to have them repaired. I filed a claim with John Hancock and they denied my claim. I will not buy a policy from them again.

    Insurance was great to have. One issue...on Squaremouth, we purchased insurance for total amount of trip for 3 of us. We received 3 separate policies with amount evenly divided. However, the cruise line's costs were not billed that way. I would have been underinsured by $1000 if I hadn't noticed. I called John Hancock who fixed it by charging me more, but my son's insurance cost would have been $10 less but they wouldn't refund it. There was no option on your website to put the correctly insured amount for each of us. Can that be added in the future?
