Planning pandemic travel was full of anxiety and postponements, and at one point we were looking at cancelling the whole trip - Tin Leg was responsive to my questions and concerns and helped me understand what I needed to do.
Thankfully we decided to go ahead with travel to South Africa and it was great to know we had the peace of mind with Tin Leg's excellent travel insurance coverage. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Easy process. Comparison policies were helpful. Thankfully we didn't have to file a claim.

I prefer to talk with someone about starting a claim and what we are allowed to claim with our trip interruption but the first person we spoke to had now clue. Lack of professionalism if you ask me. Running a company and on top of that owing our own business this type of service would work.

When we first filled the claim we were passed off to another company "Broadspire," who took weeks to send us the necessary form. I filled out the form and submitted it to their website https://myclaimsagentupload.crawco.com. I did get a confirmation e-mail from them when I uploaded all the receipts and forms needed and was informed it should be reviewed within 2-3 business days. After two weeks I attempted to contact the company, I found their e-mail's sent to their address get automatically rejected so I tried the listed phone number. That agent said they couldn't find the claim in the system and gave me another number who gave me a third number to call. This last number never answered so I left a message, then a second, third, etc... After more than a month of waiting I tried the first number again, this time they found the number and assured me it had been escalated and would be reviewed. After another 2 weeks it still hadn't been reviewed. I once again called the first number, this time they gave me the claim adjusters direct number. The claim adjuster never once answered their phone and never responded to the 5-6 messages I left. At about 2.5 months after the initial claim was filed I called the first number again and got a hold of the claim adjusters manager who promised it would be reviewed in the next 2 days. The claim was finally approved, however I have a second claim that I filled shortly after the first which is still waiting...

Service was truly abysmal, the website has no way to view the attachments after you've sent them, no way to confirm you are done uploading. Worst of all is the lack of information or commitment to working claims in a reasonable time frame. Only one of the many people I talked to actually apologized for the long delays and communication problems.

Have used Tin Leg before and have been fortunate not to have filed a claim. Hope to continue using Tin Leg as long as the premiums are competive. You only know how good an insuror is when you have to file a claim.

I had to change the dates of the original policy because of a cruise cancellation and they were very easy to deal with. No extra charge either.

I had spent quite a bit of time trying to check on the status of a claim submitted for a Tin Leg insurance policy. The claims were being handled by Broadspire. It shouldn't have taken nearly so long to reject the claim. They eventually sent a letter with the specific policies that they would pay out under and why my claim didn't qualify. It seems like that could have been handled in less than thirteen weeks that it took from submitting my claim to getting the rejection letter.

I also wonder whether they backdated their letters to hiding their poor processing performance from other management. I finally received a letter after sometime after Feb 28. I was on a trip from March 1 to March 6, and only had it in the mail after that. But the letter was dated Feb 15. It took at least 14 days for it to get from their office to be delivered? Really?? It is also a bit surprising giving that on Feb 22 I had yet again inquired about the status. And received an email back from Feb 23, saying that submissions looked complete and that she would "work today to get this on my managers desk for review purposes so I can finalize things for you." Seems like a bit of an odd response if the letter had been prepared and sent a week before that! It could also be nothing as bad as purposely backdating but simply poor systems, or taking an extra week from printing the response to sending out. Those are not particular favorable reasons either.
