I find this question impossible to answer as I don't know nor can I separate who I'm dealing with in ordering the policy--Squaremouth or the carrier? From what I remember being told before & during purchase was that I was dealing with Squaremouth.

I injured myself when 1 of my bags got caught on the escalator & was pulled from my hand & I reached back to grab it so it wouldn't fall on the rider behind me. This was at approx. 6:30am & I had to check-in, go thru security & board my flight. The injury wasn't life threatening so I believed since the occurrence happened during the policy period I could file a claim after I got home. I called the claim number & was told by "Stacy", the "claim rep," because I didn't see a doctor at the time of occurrence I was not covered as the policy says a claim must be filed at the time of the occurrence. However, the next sentence states so long as the occurrence happened during the policy term "there is coverage!" She disputed my interpretation of this last sentence & said the claim would be denied, but I could file it under appeal. She further stated in her experience it would be denied. I told her in my mind the language was clear; her belief I should have sought medical attention at the moment of the injury for something that wasn't life threatening & which would have caused me to miss my flight thereby causing me to file a trip interruption claim in addition was nonsensical. I bought the insurance policy to protect me in the event of a claim, NOT to have to fight with an insurance company who wrote the policy. They were the ones who put the punctuation in the coverage conditions. They chose NOT to state the claim had to occur AND treatment had to be rendered during the policy period. Moreover, an insurance company knows the difference between the use of: "and;" "or;" or a "period" when used in the policy language. In my opinion this claim should have been covered & needless to say I'm not a "happy camper" over this incident!!!
Horrible experience; had severe injury that required possible surgery. We were in Turkey which would have required a possible long term stay in a country possibly on the verge of war. Assisted help in evacuation and was told Turkey was an accecptable medical facility and no evacuation assistance could be offered. Each time I spoke with someone I was given a different story. This was a horrible experience having paid so much for the insurance and then have no assistance.

We did not make a claim and we were covered. It was good to have a peace of mind knowing we were covered.

We have no need to make a claim with you as we have not had any problems with our health since arriving in USA..We expect to return next year and will contact you for
required polcies at that time.
