    My claim was denied because technically my interruption did not meet the qualifications for a reimbursement. This was most disappointing, since we lost an entire day from our trip for a motor vehicle problem. Only a traffic accident qualifies for coverage, which I find to be a chintzy way to avoid paying on on the policy. I will rethink my choices in the future regarding trip insurance because of this experience.

    Our trip included a 6 day, 6 night horseback riding experience. I specifically chose Tin Leg because they advertised that they could tailor the insurance policy to cover horseback riding which is considered a "risky" sport. The agent over the phone was very helpful. He was able to discuss how much coverage we could potentially need, e.g. moneys needed to evacuate if injured.

    Your policy is reasonably priced and covered most of my requisites.But I was really disappointed that I could not extend my insurance for 12 days. Due to several personal, but not emergency reasons. I wanted to leave later from my departing country. I contacted customer service and they informed me that only in a medical emergency or other serious matters like a death in my immediate family could guarantee an extension of my policy. Also what surprised me that medical extension is for 7 days only. In some serious conditions like a broken limb, 7 days will not be enough for a person to fly again. There is also the danger of flying so soon after an operation, 10 days are the least to avoid an embolism.
    Therefore I will recommend Squaremouth to friends and family, but I will warn them about the limitations.

    It's nice to speak to someone who assisted in the claims process. A real, live human who seemed empathetic. Claim is in process. Scheduling with a claims agent was very easy.

    I was very pleased with the way my claim was handled. Tin Leg acted promptly, accepted my claim for hospitalization and the result forfeiting of fees paid in advance for tours I was unable to complete because of the hospitalization, and promptly paid my claim. I am very pleased with Tin Leg.
