During our trip to France my wife discovered she may not have enough of her prescription inhaler for asthma so we reached out to see how we could get a refill ordered and picked up. After consulting with the emergency service representative who was very helpful, she decided not to pursue - in part given out itinerary and in part given the cost. Fortunately, she was able to manage and did not have a serious attack and we made it home without event.

I purchased > $500 travel insurance for a June 2026 trip to Greece (through Squaremouth) for a Travelex policy, underwritten by Zurich American Insurance Company.
We booked SeaJets boats, hopping from Naxos to Santorini to Milos. There are VERY limited options traveling from one island to another, and unfortunately, the 1st leg from Naxos to Santorini was delayed by nearly 1 hour. This resulted in us missing our Santorini to Milos leg.

Scrambling, I spent $832 out-of-pocket to book travel to a different island to connect to Milos, as the rest of our trip depended on getting to Milos in time (hotels, activities, dinners, etc.)

I filed a Travelex claim due to the delayed travel, the delays of which resulted in serious expenses out-of-pocket.
Zurich spent the next several weeks asking me for all receipts, incident reports from SeaJets, and copies of Greek maritime charters, all of which I provided.
At the end, they determined that my original delay was not long enough and suggested that I not book 2 legs of a trip so close together (I had no other choice). My only options for travel were spaced closely together, which is one major reason I purchased travel insurance in the first place.
This was a waste of time & total waste of money.

Although we travel several times per year, I will not be booking through Travelex/Zurich again. Very disappointing and frustrating.

Purchasing the policy was fairly easy, though not 5 stars - a little difficult to sort out which policy to get and the differences between them. The low rating for the claim process is that we had a piece of luggage damaged during the trip to the point where it was unusable, but both the airline and the additional insurance company wanted a receipt from the original luggage purchase. The suitcase was a $1440 item but was over 10 years old. Instead of replacing it with an equivalent, we replaced it with a piece of luggage under $150, and had a receipt for that. Neither the airline nor the additional insurance would complete our claim without the original receipt from the old luggage. We could not locate the receipt for luggage that was that old. Even though it was over 10 years old, the luggage was in good shape and very functional until damaged by the airline. We were reasonable in just asking to cover the costs of a minimal replacement just so we had functional luggage and even that was not possible to complete the claim. It is disappointing to pay hundreds of dollars for insurance and then have no way to make a claim should you actually need it, as we did. The only reason it wasn't just 1 star was because the initial claim process was easy. But the results were a 0.
