We were forced to cancel our trip and never went. I called and requested a refund on my premium payment of $120. I'm not sure if I qualify for this or not but the girl I talked to on the phone said she'd find out and call me back but never did. Please contact me so we can talk more about this. Thanks.
I purchased the higher plus policy only to find out that a claim for a parents parent/step parents death can only be made if they die in the usa, canada or Mexico! Anywhere else and your out of luck with this policy type /provider. Be sure they die in a qualified country ! Very disappointed as I had chosen this policy specifically for the cancel for any reason option.
this was a massively horrible drawn out claim process (2 months) to get a $75 suitcase replaced after it was damaged by my airline. further when final payment was made today I was advised that there was a deduction for depreciation. I was not made aware of this when I bought the policy and was told when I bought it that the insurance was replacement, not replacement - depreciation. I would never buy another product from this company again and will tell all of my other travel companions about this company. Insurance is supposed to be piece of mind, not another hassle.
This company was very easy to deal with and made the whole claim submission easy. They processed the claim quickly and we have no complaints at all. We just wish we did not have a travel delay -- that is not their problem.
When inquiring about additional car rental insurance I made 3 phone calls to carrier with little or no help. I finally called Square Mouth and all was taken care of.
we chose your company based on consumer report. My husband works in the insurance industry and we checked your rating. We read ratings on your company and both my husband and I were very pleased with the claims process. Please note we read reviews from other clients which were very good but o comments regarding the claims aspect. It took approximately 4-5 weeks process. We were never able to go on our trip due a medical situation. However the whole process was very efficient. Customer service was great. Both my husband and I would rather have gone on vacation. However., we would definitely recommend Squaremouth to anyone who is looking for a very good start solid travel insurance.
I provided detailed information, and felt the claim was valid. Travelsafe paid the claim in full, more quickly than I expected. I would use Travelsafe again for travel insurance.
I bought Travelsafe insurance through Squaremouth.com. My luggage was broken by a hotel assistant when it was stored in a holding room. The hotel’s manager refused to write an accident report. When I applied (July 2014) for damage claim (less than $100), a Travelsafe representative asked me for tons of different papers: credit card statement, my explanation, not Reparable Statement and so on. After I sent them all of these including not Reparable Statement for which I had to pay a repair store $15 plus tax. Travelsafe sent me letter in December (2014) saying they needed statement from the hotel. If a hotel personal refused to do it in July, they probably won’t even remember me in December. I still did not receive any money from the Travelsafe. I will not recommend this company at all because they refused to pay a small claim and asked for a ton of papers. I can only imagine how they handle big claims.

Happily I have no claim to file. The policy purchase process was easy and the reviews were beneficial in making my decision. I had one question during the poilicy evaluation period that was quickly addressed by customer service to my satisfaction. The only suggestion I have regarding the policy purchase process would be to allow a sort function for the policy type (basic/premium). As I recall the policy reviews could be sorted by issuing company only. Where several different policies are available from the same company, it was cumbersome looking for reviews on a specific policy type. Knowing we had a solid policy for emergency evacuation made traveling to some off the road spots much more comfortable,
