This company was very easy to deal with and made the whole claim submission easy. They processed the claim quickly and we have no complaints at all. We just wish we did not have a travel delay -- that is not their problem.
we chose your company based on consumer report. My husband works in the insurance industry and we checked your rating. We read ratings on your company and both my husband and I were very pleased with the claims process. Please note we read reviews from other clients which were very good but o comments regarding the claims aspect. It took approximately 4-5 weeks process. We were never able to go on our trip due a medical situation. However the whole process was very efficient. Customer service was great. Both my husband and I would rather have gone on vacation. However., we would definitely recommend Squaremouth to anyone who is looking for a very good start solid travel insurance.
this was a massively horrible drawn out claim process (2 months) to get a $75 suitcase replaced after it was damaged by my airline. further when final payment was made today I was advised that there was a deduction for depreciation. I was not made aware of this when I bought the policy and was told when I bought it that the insurance was replacement, not replacement - depreciation. I would never buy another product from this company again and will tell all of my other travel companions about this company. Insurance is supposed to be piece of mind, not another hassle.
Customer service through Travelsafe directly was rude and curt. Their website was also far less helpful than Squaremouth, with unclear directions about how to fill out the application form. I went back and applied through Squaremouth and had a much better experience. I won't have to make a claim, so I can't comment on their actual service.
Semi timely too many follow ups were necessary
I did get a quick response when calling about the official policy document ( I was told to download it ), I thought it was to be mailed. The other question are not applicable because I didn't need to file a claim.
Unfortunately a passport did not arrive for our son and we lost several thousand dollars on our trip and did not get to spend Christmas together. The insurance coverage we had did not cover that and such an event was never anticipated. Although everyone was very nice,the vacation experience turned out to be a disappointment for us.

The wheel on my luggage broke off so I called customer service to inquire about making a claim. The customer representative was rude and abrupt. I decided not to make a claim because it would entail more trouble than it was worth but I did not appreciate having the phone slammed down when only asking for information
NB: Rx meds are not covered, our luggage has been lost/delayed for 7 days and most prescription insurance companies will not cover refills if less than the alotted time.
I had an accident while in Greece. I had moderate doctor bills. Time will tell how good the policy and customer service is. Filing the claim required an ENORMOUS amount of documentation but the instructions and the representative were both very clear in the explanation. The emergency number did not work from where I was: Naxos, Greece. I am however, very grateful for the insurance.
