NB: Rx meds are not covered, our luggage has been lost/delayed for 7 days and most prescription insurance companies will not cover refills if less than the alotted time.
I had an accident while in Greece. I had moderate doctor bills. Time will tell how good the policy and customer service is. Filing the claim required an ENORMOUS amount of documentation but the instructions and the representative were both very clear in the explanation. The emergency number did not work from where I was: Naxos, Greece. I am however, very grateful for the insurance.
We have purchased the same TravelSafe Classic policy for each trip we have taken the past 5 years (3 international trips per year). We are very happy with the policy and customer service and will continue to purchase this policy. The times we have had to make claims, customer service has been very helpful and we experienced no issues with claim reimbursement.
The policy did not cover the incident I called about but the representative was courteous and helpful. She connected me quickly to an attorney who provided me with information that was helpful and enabled me to relax and enjoy the rest of my trip.
We moved the date of our trip back a couple of weeks so I had to contact TravelSafe and have them adjust our policy dates of coverage. Was done easily and no issues. Customer service was good experience. We thankfully didn't have to file a claim while on this trip, but good to know we had Insurance just in case.
I am still waiting for the paperwork to come to my home so that I might receive reimbursement for the work done in Ecuador; in the meanwhile, I am dealing with the output of $440 expense in dental fees.........Why is it taking so long to get the claim forms to me?
I will be giving TravelSafe all 5 stars, even though we were not able to take our cruise. My husband was laid off after we bought insurance for our trip. We able to cancel our cruise for a full refund, however, we were nine days beyond the time when we could cancel our insurance. Shelley at TravelSafe understood and was able to make an exception, and we received a refund of virtually all of our insurance premium. We will definitely use TravelSafe in the future.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY FROM TRAVELSAFE. In a sentence TravelSafe's customer service is disgusting! One Star is being generous. Claim processing takes way too long! TripMate, the claims processing company, received my paperwork on Feb. 15. I just received a postcard on March 7 saying the review is pending. Why did I place my email address on the claims form? When I called TripMate to inquire why is it taking so long I was placed on perpetual hold. What is this garbage? What kind of company treats its customers this way. A friend on the same flight received his check in 3 days from a different Company. His company allowed him to send photographs of his paperwork. Why is TravelSafe so slow? Is it TravelSafe is incompetent or it wants to keep my money the bank (and collect interest) for as long as it can by stalling? I will not buy another policy from TravelSafe again and I will be sure to place this review where ever I can on the Internet. Revise your business practices if you want to compete!!! Squaremouth would be better served by dropping TravelSafe.
TravelSafe rep gave different information on the phone than the written info on line. Rep was incorrect re: coverage.

Happily I have no claim to file. The policy purchase process was easy and the reviews were beneficial in making my decision. I had one question during the poilicy evaluation period that was quickly addressed by customer service to my satisfaction. The only suggestion I have regarding the policy purchase process would be to allow a sort function for the policy type (basic/premium). As I recall the policy reviews could be sorted by issuing company only. Where several different policies are available from the same company, it was cumbersome looking for reviews on a specific policy type. Knowing we had a solid policy for emergency evacuation made traveling to some off the road spots much more comfortable,
