I called the 24 hour assistance line four times an got a pre recorded message saying it was outside business hours.
It was impossible to submit my claim, the insurance was a complete waste of time!
Azimuth were absolutely terrible. Poor quality lines when you call them with the line constantly breaking up and lack of help of which provider to visit. Azimuth 24 hour service were equally poor with every detail having to be repeating multiple times over, even when they should have the basic details such as policy number or name.
Azimuth also claimed that my policy did not cover pre-existing conditions, something that was covered in my policy and clearly noted in it's own section. If this becomes an issue we will pursue legally and request a full refund for this aweful policy. Waste of money? Yes.
It would be nice to know in advance that the insurance only provides reimbursement and does not cover charges at the time you need the help. Why is this bit of information buried?
I was told when I purchased the insurance on 7/20/18 that if I had to change my trip for any reason any change fees etc would be covered. I called customer service on 8/4/18 stating that I was sick and needed to go home early. I was informed that my illness was not covered.
They were professional and friendly. Originally, I called Squaremouth for assistance to extend my dates, but SM asked me to email Azimuth instead. Azimuth responded within a day and had my dates changed. Over the course of the trip, they sent me a reminder that my coverage was about to end and that I could extend it by emailing them. Then after my trip, it asked for feedback. The price was reasonable, the policy was reasonable, the method was okay. I wish I could do all the policy extension and further option taking from their web site. There was a way to extend the date from the web site, but no way to change the start date.
The airline lost my bag for 3 days and I had to replace essentials. Azimuth said I wasn’t entitled to their baggage cover as the bag was returned. What a waste of time. Thank goodness I didn’t get sick and need to rely on the emergency medical cover in case there was some clause in there too.
Everything is Hunky Dory until a claim, than a more truer evaluation can be given. For first time use all is well, no claim made.
