I had 3 hour trip delay and cancel for any reason.Trip delay was 28 hours and had to change airports. Claim paid with no problems. Having receipts and flight cancellation documents made it go quicker. Got prompt reply to emails. I would use John Hancock again.

My main concern was that there was no place on the original application to note who would be a beneficiary, should I die on the trip. I was told they would add the beneficiary to the contract and send it to me, but I never received the new contract.
It seems to me that when choosing a policy, we should be able to include the chosen beneficiary.

My only complaint involves communication. After filing the complaint, I never received any acknowledgement that the claim had been received, or that the supporting documents I had submitted were satisfactory. A simple acknowledgement would have been quite welcome. But then again, given the speed with which the claim was resolved, I was in limbo only a short while.
