    Not much to add at this point. Had to leave the ship at the end of week one of a two week cruise. RoamRight uses a different company to assist travelers who experience difficulty mid trip. While this company made a good effort to contact a traveler who is in constant motion from ship to ER to hotel, etc., they were really not of much help. Made hotel and flight reservations on my own as they didn't really give any assistance. So far, RoamRight has been quite helpful helping me submit my claim, but haven't heard from them since the initial filing.

    RoamRIght is a company I would definitely do business with in the future. When I called in to initiate my claim the person on the phone gave me complete instructions on how to get started online. I completed the online form and uploaded scans of requested documents. A few weeks later I received an email from RoamRight requesting two additional documents. I sent them and a week later received payment for my entire claim which included half of my trip cost (the portion of the trip I had to cancel), an overnight hotel room, and airfare for my wife and myself to return home. I have no complaints whatsoever regarding the way RoamRight handled my claim. My only complaint concerns a company RoamRIght uses to assist travelers who left their travel in a strange city (we were on a 2 week cruise). This company was not really helpful at all (they were supposed to help get us a room for the night, transportation to the hotel, and arrange for air transportation back home). It turned out that I had accomplished all of the arrangements without their help.

    My claim has already been paid and I would use Roam Right again. In fact, I have yet another policy with them for an upcoming trip. The only thing that was a problem was that I had to file a claim because of a family member's health who was not traveling with us. They were not able to attach the medical information for that person to our claim until I called them.

    Getting the insurance was fast and easy. When I called to get clarification on some aspects of the policy, the agent was helpful, polite and knowledgeable.

    Filed a baggage claim immediately the day after return. Now that i has been a week, I still haven't heard back a thing, not even a confirmation of claim receipt. I hope this will work out. fingers crossed.

    We broke our bottle of duty free wine at the customs area upon arrival. Luckily, our policy covers it. The receipt was also destroyed in the bag and threw away together by Customs staff. Roamright covers without the receipt at 80%, which is better than nothing. I am satisfied even though when i called before filing the claim, the representative did not inform me the rate would be discounted without a receipt.

    Ultimately it was a fairly easy process & I received a check rather quickly (I had cancelled a trip - European hotel & airfare -- due to a death in the family). The only thing that was a little confusing was the fact that I filed one claim on behalf of myself & my husband, but I received 2 checks (one for me, one for him). Initially I thought I was receiving only 50% of what I claimed, but in fact that 50% represented my share of the total. They accepted all my emails (from airlines, hotels, Orbitz) as proof of my purchases, which proved to be convenient.

    The one thing we did not cover was trip interruption. Spoke to the 24 hour assistance and they said they couldn't tell me whether any specific item was covered. Since it was a weekend we could take no action. We were on our own to arrange to extend my husband's stay for a death in his family. I say stay because we were visiting his home. The website instructions for filing a claim were a bit confusing you have to read your options very carefully. I was told to click on the trip interruption option. There was none - because we hadn't requested that option. It took me three phone calls and significant time to figure this out. You don't know what you will need coverage on so it can be confusing to select the correct options.

    Fortunately I didn't need to test the policy as our trip went smoothly. However I wouldn't proceed on overseas travel without some cover, at least gives you a peace of mind for those major issues out of your control that may arise.
