My claim was delivered 2/3/2018. So far there has been no response.
Thank you for taking the time to review Trawick International – Nationwide 3-n-1 Plan. It is noted that you mailed the original claim to the wrong address on 2/3. Once it was figured out, a new claim was received at the correct address on 3/16/18. That claim was missing some information but the examiner reached out to your tour operator for more information and the claim was processed for payment on 4/19/18. I filed a damaged baggage claim, still haven't heard back from them.
Shane, in order for the policy to cover a hurricane you have to purchase the insurance coverage before they named it. In your case they named hurricane Irma on August 30,2017 which was before you bought the insurance coverage on 9/4. This plan won’t cover any trip cancellation once the storm was named. Perhaps you can get some of your money back from the airline. You should contact them and see what they can do.
Tickets were purchased on August 30th, but the airline does not offer travel insurance , so it took me 4 days to find a company and purchase travel insurance. Much of the delay was caused by my local agent who did not want me to outsource a new company .That's what caused the delay. But the tickets were purchased on the 30th of August.
The plan was very affordable! I accidentally wrote the wrong address though, and when I called customer service to ask for a change she was fairly rude. But efficient! This plan is still definitely worth the price.
My trip dates changed and I was able to change the coverage period to reflect that very easily and without any additional charges.
We had to cancel our trip to India due to my wife's medical problem. We will be filing a claim shortly. We hope that process goes smoothly.
After purchasing the insurance, I called back a day or 2 later to correct the total amount paid for the trip. The customer service rep she will send a corrected insurance letter but never did. If I had to file a claim, this will definitely be a big item to resolve.
I cancelled this policy before I left because it excluded mountaineering over 15,000 ft, replaced it with another one that did cover higher altitude risks, but still get emails for the initial policy from Squaremouth.
A bit sloppy, and I am now worried that my refund might not have been processed carefully.
claim not yet satisfied
Contacted them twice. Once for a modification and the other to extend. Both times, they were efficient and courteous.
